I Got Nothing

It must be something about this time of year, but for some reason, I always hit a road block when it comes to ideas to blog about. Maybe it is the fact that my work days are just so mentally draining that by the time I get home and need to actually think of something to write, my brain is fried and can't think anymore. Yeah, we will go with that, haha!

With that being said, I have no real content for you today. Sorry! I wish I could come up with something profound and amazing to write, but yeah, it isn't coming to me. But, with that being said, I thought this would be a good time to ask if there is anything in particular that you guys want to see on here. More DIY projects? More on my weight loss journey? More giveaways (who doesn't want more of these?!)?  Just let me know and I will do my best to try and get some different content on here.

Or do you have anything specific that you want to know about me? I try to be as open and honest about myself as possible, but if there is something specific that I have never mentioned or you have been curious about, let me know! Maybe I can turn all of your questions into my first vlog. That is if I can figure out how to get everything to upload correctly, haha! Damn technology!

Okay guys, that is all my brain can handle right now. Sorry for such a short post. Hope you guys are all having a great week. One day closer to the weekend! I just need to keep telling myself that, haha! Have a great day everyone!

Weigh-In Wednesday

It's already Wednesday?! Thank goodness! I am ready for the weekend to be here. Let's get today's blogging party started.

It's Weigh-In Wednesday!

I don't think I have ever been so excited about a Weigh-In Wednesday post. Why? Oh I don't know. Maybe because this happened last Friday...

Good thing I got that pedicure last weekend!
That's right! This girl finally broke through to the 100's and had a small dance party in her bathroom shortly after taking the above photo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am officially in onderland and I am not turning back!! I can't even begin to describe to you how huge this is for me! Getting below 200 was always where I stopped in the past. I would get stuck and would give up. But not this time! I kept pushing and my hard work finally paid off!!

And I have even dropped a little bit more since this photo was taken last Friday. I am down to 198.4 which is almost three lbs down from last weeks post. I am glad to see that my body is still responding to everything that I am trying to do for it.

Still going to the gym six days a week. Monday and Tuesday of this week I felt kind of blah though. Not sure why, but just wasn't feeling the workout. Maybe that means it is time for me to start changing things up a bit in my workouts.

I also purchased more personal training sessions last night. They were having a special on them since they were having an open house to encourage more people to join the gym. So I got four more sessions with my bad ass trainer for $99, which makes each session about $25ish and I usually pay $30, so I thought it was worth it.

I decided that since I hit one of my biggest goals of getting under 200 that it was time to set a new big goal! After doing a little bit of thinking, I couldn't come up with any specific number that I wanted to get down to. I really just want to keep losing and see where that gets me. Ultimately I would love to be in the 140's. I know is still almost 60 lbs away, but why couldn't I do it? I mean I have already lost over 30 lbs so what is another 60 at this point? So I am just going to set my goal as my end goal now! And along the way if I come up with something else, I will throw that in as an added goal, but for now my sights are set on the finish line!

Real quick before I end this post, I just wanted to say thank you to all of my amazing followers. The comments that I have been getting from all of you throughout this process have meant more than you know. And you guys telling me that I am inspiring you is not something that I realized would happen through this, but I am happy that I can be anyone's inspiration. And I know that losing weight is different for everybody since our bodies are all so different, but if there is ever anything you have questions about i.e. workouts that I am doing, what I am eating, how many calories am I consuming etc., please don't hesitate to ask. I have learned a lot throughout these past few months and I would be happy to share all of it with you. You guys rock and thank you for following along on this journey!

Have a great day everyone!

Weekend Recap

Well, it's Monday. Dang! What happened to the weekend? It was gone before I could even blink. Oh well. Back to the grind I guess.

My weekend was pretty uneventful. Friday night after getting off work and dropping the Husband off at home, I headed to the gym. I spent a good two hours there. And after the day that I had at work, I definitely needed the distraction. It was nice to get away from everything for a few hours.

After I left the gym, I grabbed some dinner to take home for the Hubs and myself and then did nothing the rest of the night. It was glorious. And since I knew that I had a long day ahead of me on Saturday, I went to bed a little early. I know, I know! We really know how to party it up on a Friday night!

Saturday morning I woke up and went to the gym. This time for an hour of Zumba. After I sweated my ass off at Zumba, I very quickly got dressed and then headed out to meet my friend KB for a celebratory lunch! Our least favorite coach on the planet had announced on Friday that he was leaving the Colorado Rapids and going to FC Dallas. So we decided that a lunch was in order to celebrate his departure. At least it made for a good excuse for us to go have some delicious food at Salsa Brava.

After we were done with lunch I actually had to head into work for a few hours. Things have been so crazy at work that I just have not been able to accomplish a lot during the day because of all the distractions/interruptions. So it kind of became necessary to get caught up to go in for a few hours. And my time was well spent. I got some things done that I hadn't had the time to do earlier in the week, so really it ended up being a very productive three hours. And because of those three hours, I will hopefully be a lot less stressed this week. Fingers crossed anyways.

After I left work, I had a few places that I had to go to, so I did all of that running around before heading home. I once again grabbed some dinner to take home and then the Hubby and I spent the rest of the night watching Football. Again, just another low key and kind of relaxing night.

Sunday morning I tried to sleep in but it didn't happen. But it ended up working out because I had a ton of crap to do before the Broncos game, so it was good that I was up early. First thing I did was go do all of our grocery shopping for the week. Once I was done with that my Brother and his family came over for a few minutes to pick something up from us. And after they left we went on a short walk with our dog, Louie. Of course this freak snow storm had rolled in on us when we were walking, so we kept the walk kind of short.

The rest of the day was spent cleaning, cooking and watching my Broncos beat the Chargers. Not going to lie, the game was making me have really bad anxiety. Especially towards the end. Ugh! It was awful. But in the end we pulled out the win and are moving onto the AFC Championship game. I am excited about this, but not excited to be playing the Patriots. It is definitely going to be a good and probably very close game. But let's not worry about that til next Sunday!

How was everyone else's weekend? Did you guys do anything fun? Hope you all had a great weekend. And I hope your Monday goes by quickly and painlessly! Have a great day everyone!

Friday Letters

Oh my gosh I am so excited that Friday is here! It has been a long and draining week and I am ready for some down time. With that being said, lets dive into some letters!

Dear Friday,
Thank you for finally arriving. Enough said!

Dear Work,
Could you please calm the eff down? I seriously don't know how to even keep up anymore other than staying late and coming in on the weekends and this girl is not about to do that too often. So if you could just chillax, I would appreciate it!

Dear Gym,
I get that everyone is trying to start their new year off right, but holy eff, I wish you weren't so busy! When I can't even get on a machine to do something, we have a problem. But I still love you!

Dear Zumba,
Thank you for kicking my ass every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. My ass really does appreciate it!

Dear Personal Trainer,
Thanks for kicking my ass as well. And also thank you for making me feel like a bad ass after learning how to do dead lifts. Pretty proud of that right there.

Dear New Socks,
You are so soft and comfy and I love you. Haha! Yes, I love my new socks that much. I am a weirdo, I know.

Dear Self,
So this happened this morning...

That's right. I am officially out of the 200's and I am so proud of myself for finally accomplishing this goal! I am nowhere near my end goal, but I am that much closer! I officially weigh less than what my license says! Boom!

Okay, that is all I have for you guys today. I am so happy that it is Friday. And I hope that you guys have a fantastic weekend! And Go Broncos!!!!

Weigh-In Wednesday

Happy Hump Day everyone! After a three week hiatus, it is time to get back on track with Weigh-In Wednesdays. Let's get to it.

Although I haven't been posting on Wednesdays, I have been keeping up with my healthy eating habits and exercising. And keeping up with that through the Holidays was not easy, but guess what? I did it! So I can no longer use the Holidays as an excuse for not eating healthy and staying on track because in reality, for me anyways, it really wasn't that difficult.

Let's get to the good stuff. I seriously have been working my ass off! I have been keeping up with going to the gym six days a week. Three of those days I do Zumba and the other three days I am doing weights and a little bit of cardio. And with each workout I can feel my body changing. I feel it getting stronger and leaner. And this is a change that I am absolutely loving.

Okay, let's look at my measurements.

Holy shiz!!! I didn't realize until I looked at this how much I had really lost. I mean I knew the number attached to the lbs, but inches wise, I didn't realize that I had lost so much in some areas. As you can see, I am down to 201.2. I have lost a total of 21 lbs since the beginning of November and a total of 31.4 lbs from when I was at my heaviest in the 230's.

I am so freaking close to getting into onederland and being out of the 200's! I am really wanting to get under that 200 lb mark by next week's WIW. I know I can do it! I just need to really push myself this week, especially since my body feels like it is stalling on the weight loss right now. But I am going to keep pushing through!

Something that I think has really helped me this time around, aside from the trainer, is the weight loss challenge that I am doing right now. My best friend Lou is a Beach Body Coach, so she decided to throw together a challenge group. Although we are all there to try and lose weight and win the cash prize at the end, I have really received a lot of extra support from the other girls in the group. And you wouldn't believe what that does to your self esteem and drive. It has been one of the best things for me. And even after the challenge is over, I know I can turn to any of these girls for support if I am having troubles getting motivated.

The only real goal I am setting for myself is to get under that 200 lb mark by next week. I am finally at a point where I feel comfortable with my gym routine and my eating, so I  just want to stay consistent with that. And of course, drinking more water is always a priority too. So I guess throw that in there as a goal as well.

That is all I have for you guys today. Thanks for stopping by and checking in on my progress. I hope that you are having a great week and that the rest of it goes by quickly!

2 Years! Say What?!

Two years ago today I married my best friend. I can't believe that it has been two years already. It feels like it was a few months ago.

This past year has just flown by. And although not much has changed in our lives, we have definitely grown closer as a couple. We have had our ups and our downs. We are nowhere near perfect. But we love each other and support each other and that is all that matters.

Happy Anniversary baby! I love you so much and I can't wait to celebrate even more anniversaries in the future.

Weekend Recap

Well hello there! Remember me? Yeah, I have been MIA quite a bit lately. I blame the Holidays. Everything was just so hectic, it made it hard to find time to blog. Or do anything for that matter. But, now that things are slowing down, I am ready to get back to blogging. So let's get right back into the swing of things with my recap of this past weekend.

Even though I only had to work two days last week, by the time Friday afternoon rolled around, I was completely drained and exhausted from work and needed the weekend in the worst way. After picking up the Husband from work, we headed to the gym. The gym has become my stress relief. I go there, put my head phones on, blast some great music, shut the world out and go to town on my workouts. It's one of the best feelings.

After working out for a few hours, we left the gym and grabbed some dinner from one of our fave places, Garbanzo. It was delicious as always. We spent the rest of our night at home just doing nothing. I think I even went to bed early that night. I was pretty tired after all.

Saturday morning I woke up and headed to the gym for Zumba. After Zumba I stayed at the gym for a bit longer and walked on the treadmill just to get some extra steps and cardio in. After I was done there, I went and got my eyebrows waxed and then headed home so that I could wait for my Brother and my Sis-In-Law to bring my little Niece Rylei over so that I could watch her for a few hours.

They showed up a little bit before 2 and then left for a few hours to go see a movie. Miss Rylei and I hung out and watched some TV, had some snacks and played out in the snow for a little bit. And I just have to add that I am the coolest Aunt ever since I gave Miss Rylei chocolate chips. At least she seemed to think so!

After their movie was over, my Brother and Sis-In-Law came and picked Rylei up. After they left we didn't really do much the rest of the night. We cooked dinner and watched TV. We were both pretty tired and just wanted to relax the rest of the night, so we just sat around watching TV.

Sunday we both slept in for a little bit, but I eventually couldn't sleep any longer and got up to get my day started. I ate some breakfast and then headed out to get my nails done. I rarely go pay to get my nails done, but every now and then I get a wild hair and want to go have someone else do them. And I have been working really hard at my weight loss, so I decided that I deserved it. The Hubby agreed and even offered it to be my anniversary gift, so I jumped on that. I went and got a pedicure and a full set of acrylics done.

I have to say that the best part of the pedicure is the massage chair and the leg massage that you receive. My legs have been super tight from working out so much, so it was very much needed and felt amazing. And I decided to support my favorite football team with my nail color. The guy that did them did a great job too!

After pampering myself for a little bit, I went and did our grocery shopping for the week and then headed home. I spent the rest of the evening doing ridiculous amounts of laundry and cleaning up our bedroom.

It was a great weekend with lots of relaxing. I hope there are many more relaxing weekends in my future because this one was much needed. How was your weekend? Did you do anything fun?
