Sneak Peek

Wow! 2 posts in one day! I know, that is not me at all. But, I have to show you guys these gorgeous pictures. Or at least a sneak peek of them!

Okay, so remember how I was really disappointed with our photographers that they only got 2 pictures of me in my wedding dress? Well, I decided to do another photo shoot with a different photographer. We have been trying to schedule this shoot for a while, but for some reason we just couldn't find an opening in either of our schedules until this past Saturday.

I was originally just going to do my own hair and make up, but with as hot as it has been here, I knew that I needed someone else to do it for me so that it would stay. So I made an appointment at the Toni & Guy school here and went in and had them do my hair and make up. I can't even begin to describe how amazing the girl was that did my hair and make up. It actually looked better than it did on the day of the wedding, and I only paid about half of what I did that day. She took the picture that I gave her and did my hair exactly how I wanted it to look. And with my make up I told her that I wanted it to be a little bit more dramatic, and she listened and it looked absolutely amazing!

Okay, so without further ado, here is a small sneak peek at some of these pics...

We Plan, God Laughs

Happy Monday everyone! I know, Mondays are never a happy day because we have to return to the salt mines, but I hope that everyone's Monday is flying by.

So remember on Friday when I told you that I had some down time and was going to try and write a few posts for you guys? Well, I planned and God laughed at me. Right about the time that I finished writing that post, Aran's Dad showed up with some painting supplies and some tools for us to have at our new house. And right after that the DirecTV guy FINALLY showed up around 4. Everything was going great and then I tried to get back on the internet to look something up and my internet was gone! G-O-N-E, gone! I wasn't sure why, but I had a feeling that it had to do with the Satellite being set up. So, I mentioned it to the installation guy and he swore up and down that he didn't mess with our internet, even though it really was him that broke it.

So after a very long conversation with Comcast they determined that they have to send out a service tech, which in the end if it is something on our end is going to cost us $40-$50 to fix. But here is the best part, they can't get anyone out to our place until Wednesday! I about lost it at this point. That is almost an entire week without a service that I am paying for. So after flipping out at the guy on the phone, I scheduled the service call. I'm not happy about it, but I guess I just have to put on my big girl panties and deal, right?

So after a long day that really just did not go the way that I had planned, I was ready to move past it. And we did that by having a painting party. A few of our friends came over and we painted our Master bedroom and our living room. We had to do some touch ups over the next few days, but it looks absolutely amazing. I love the colors that we picked. I can't wait to get some more decor in those rooms so that it looks more like what I want. I am hoping to have pictures for you guys soon, but just haven't gotten around to taking them.

How was your weekend? Did your plans work out better than mine did?

BIG News!!

Happy Friday everyone!! I planned on having another wedding recap up today, but we were a little busy yesterday afternoon/evening that I just didn't have a chance to write it. I may have some time here later today so I will get going on that. We are so close to being done with the recaps, so I am trying to get them done for you guys!

Onto the BIG news and the reason for us being busy yesterday afternoon/evening. We are now officially homeowners!!!!! We closed yesterday on our very first house and we could not be more excited! We did our final walk through around 2 yesterday and then we signed our lives away around 3. It was a lot of signing which proved to be difficult for me since I have only been signing this signature for about five months. But we got through all of the paperwork, they gave us the keys and it was ours!!!

Tonight we are painting and tomorrow we are moving in! We were supposed to start moving in today, but Aran wasn't able to get the day off from work. I however took the day off and moved a bunch of stuff in my car this morning and am now waiting for DirecTV to show up. They told us from 12-4 sometime today. They only have an hour left before I get mad.

Agghhhhh! I can't believe we own a house! I can't wait to start decorating. I have been on Pinterest like crazy this past week getting so many ideas.

Like this one for our bathroom so that I can clear up the clutter on the counter...

And this idea for our laundry room so that we have more storage and a place to fold clothes...

And this for decor for our kitchen...

And paint colors for all of the rooms in the house...

I can't wait to show you guys everything that we do with it. We have so many ideas. Half of them probably won't even happen, but we can dream, right?

As soon as I get the pictures that our Realtor took of us in front of the house yesterday, I will get them up for you guys to see.

Well, I need to get going. I have more stuff to do. Have a great weekend everybody!

Father Daughter Dance

The Father Daughter dance was up next and once again, I had a really difficult time picking a song for this particular dance. My Dad and I don't have the best relationship so when it came time to pick a song,  I didn't want to pick something that falsely represented us. I know that sounds weird, but that was my goal. So again, I searched the Wedding Wire song boards for days until I stumbled upon a song that I have loved for years and just seemed to fit what I was looking for.

My Dad and I danced to "My Wish" by Rascal Flatts which was perfect for a few reasons. The first reason being that I love country music and I LOVE Rascal Flatts. Second reason being that it just seemed to fit the dynamic of our relationship.

My Dad and I may not have the best Father Daughter relationship, but for this one dance our relationship didn't seem to matter. It was a great moment that I got to share with him and something that I will cherish for the rest of my life.

Liebster Award

I was nominated for this award by Liz at The Optimistic Army Wife. Liz and I have never met in person, but I love her blog and her daughter Evelyn is the cutest thing! If you've never been to her blog, you should head on over!

This award is given to up and coming bloggers with less than 200 followers. Liebster is German and means sweetest, kind, lovely, endearing, and welcome.

How it works:
1. Each person must post 11 things about themselves.
2. Answer the questions that the tagger set for you and create 11 questions for bloggers you have tagged.
3. Choose up to 11 bloggers and link them to your post.
4. Go to their page and tell them.
5. No tag backs.

Questions for Me:
1. Which Animal Print if Your Favorite?
-I've never really been a big animal print person, so I will answer with what my favorite pattern or print is and that is obviously polka dots!!
2. What was Your High School Mascot?
-We were the Hornets!
3. Are you an iPhone person or a Android user?
-iPhone for sure
4. Favorite Song of all time?
-I don't think I can pick just one.
5. Favorite Song at the Current Moment?
-This is a toss up between Karmin's "Crash Your Party" & Haley Reinhart's "Free"
6. Best part about Summer?
-The music. Music in the summer has a certain sound and it just makes me really happy when I am listening to it. Oh and flip flops of course!
7. Whats one road you never took in life?
-The "I'm a college student so I should drink and party all weekend" road. I have never been a big party person or a big alcohol person, so I just never took this road. Not to say that it's bad or anything, it just wasn't for me.
8. Favorite Fast Food Resturant?
-Chick-fil-a
9. Best Childhood Toy?
-Barbie
10. Favorite Holdiday and Why?
-Christmas!!! I can't really explain why, but I just love everything about it. I love the decorations, I love the time that you get to spend with family and I LOVE Christmas music. There is just something about that time of year and this particular holiday that just gives me this feeling that I absolutely love. I wish it was Christmas year round!
11. Live anywhere in the world..money no option...where you moving to?
-Not really sure. Probably Paris or something like that, but I know that I would only live there for a couple of years before coming back to CO. I just love it too much here to not stay the rest of my life.

And now for the questions for the people I will be tagging:
1. What is your favorite TV show?
2. Are you a sports enthusiast?
3. Do you sometimes believe that you were born in the wrong decade?
4. What is your favorite Summer activity?
5. What is the one thing you can't leave the house without and why?
6. What kind of car do you drive?
7. What movie can you quote backwards and forwards?
8. When you were little, what did you say you wanted to be when you grew up?
9. What one product are you currently addicted to?
10. What was the last song you listened to in your car?
11. Do you sing at the top of your lungs while alone in your car?

And now it is time to tag some other. So tag you are it...

We Have a Luci!

I am so excited right now that I have to share this amazing news!! One of my best friends, Veronica, just had her baby girl yesterday!! She weighed in at 7 lbs 7 ounces (welcome to the 7 lbs and 7 ounces club, I am a member)and was born around 9 am yesterday morning!

I am so proud of Veronica! She is going to be an amazing Mom to this little girl! Luci is one lucky little girl to have such an amazing Mom too! I so wish that I could be there to meet little Ms. Luci, but Alaska is really far away and very expensive to get to, so unfortunately I can't be. I hope Veronica knows how proud I am of her and how much I lover her and miss her! And I hope she knows that I love Ms. Luci just as much as I love her too!

Okay, that is enough excitement for today! I will have another very exciting event on Thursday and I can not wait to tell all of you about it! Have a great day everyone!!

First Dance

After cutting the cake it was time for our first dance as a married couple. We had a really hard time deciding on a song that we both liked. I absolutely love Frank Sinatra(we have the same Birthday) and so did my Grandparents, so I knew that we would be dancing to a Sinatra song, but we just weren't sure which one. I searched the Wedding Wire song gallery for days upon end until I found one that we could both agree on. We danced to Frank Sinatra's "As Time Goes By." Some of you may know it as the song from Casablanca, which just happens to be one of mine and Aran's favorite movies.

Aran and I weren't really sure what we should be doing during our dance, so we just kind of talked and laughed, which you will see in most of our pictures. But at the same time that is very much us, we are always laughing and having a good time, so the pictures were very telling of who we are as a couple.

I loved our first dance. I felt like we were the only two people in the room and I wouldn't have had it any other way. It was perfect in every way!
