I'm Horrible

I have been a horrible blogger lately. Sorry guys! Work has been insane and we have been going to the gym a lot after work so I haven't been around my computer much. Things should start slowing down here though so hopefully I can get back into blogging.

Our photographers emailed us last week and our proofs are up online right now. For the most part they turned out pretty good. There are still a few pics that I am not happy with, but what can you do. Now we just need to sit down and go through the pictures and pick out which ones we would like them to do more editing with. I need to get that done tonight actually. Once that is done we will pay them the rest of the money and then they will send us a disc with all of the images and then the recaps can begin. Woohoo!!

I will try to be better about posting. Sorry again guys! Hope you are enjoying your week so far!

Firm Friday: Week 2

It is finally Friday which means it is time for Firm Friday with K Law from First Name Smith.

I was pretty excited for this post because this past week was a really good week for me. I did really well with eating and exercising. I went to the gym not once, but twice!! Haha! And I am heading there tonight as well.

So let's start with last Saturday. I ate pretty well and was under my calories for the day and I was definitely over on my steps for the day, thanks in large part to the Brad Paisley concert and how much walking we had to do.

Sunday wasn't as good because I spent all day recouping from Saturday. I was so worn out from all the walking and screaming that we did. (Umm, hello! Tim Tebow was there, how could I not be screaming like a little girl the whole night, haha!) Needless to say I didn't do very well this day.

Monday I did really well and even worked out at home with our Just Dance 3 Wii game. I was under my calorie intake and I hit my targeted calorie burn.

Tuesday and Wednesday were gym days. I did legs and core on Tuesday and chest and back on Wednesday. I was again under my calories for the two days and I hit my targeted calorie burn.

So last night, I was exhausted after work so I didn't go to the gym. I actually went home and napped for two hours. But then I got my butt up and started moving around and was again under for my calories and I hit my calorie burn.

Now onto the good stuff...the measurements!

Weight as of this morning: 225 lbs. I dropped 4 lbs in the last week and a half!! Agghh! This is awesome!
Body measurements: Epic fail on my part. I completely forgot to take them last week. I need to do that this weekend! Hopefully I won't forget.

Overall it was a pretty good week. I just hope that I can keep my progress up through the weekend and into next week.

Remember if you guys want to join in, head on over to K Law's blog and link up for the week! Do it!! All of the cool kids are!

I've Been Tagged

I was tagged by Liz at The Optimistic Army Wife. Here are the rules lovelies!

The Rules
1. You must post the rules. (And link up who tagged you)
2. Post 11 fun facts about yourself on the blog post.
3. Answer the questions the tagger set for  you in their post, and then create 11 new questions to ask the people you've tagged.
4. Tag however many people you want.
5. Let them know you've tagged them.

The Facts
1. I am newly married. We have been married for a little over two weeks now.
2. I love to clean when I am mad. So if I start into a cleaning frenzy, it's because I am pissed, haha!
3. I have recently realized that I am a very classic person when it comes to my tastes in a lot of things.
4. I LOVE Tim Tebow! Like, I am obsessed, haha! Not in a creepy stalker kind of way, but just that he is way gorgeous and a good Christian boy!
5. During High School I always hated Valentine's Day and thought that it would change once I had someone to share it with. Yeah, I still don't like it that much. Too many high expectations that are never lived up to. Damn movies!
6. I am going to be an Aunt again!! I can't believe I haven't told you guys this yet. Agghhh! I am so excited. i really hope for my brothers sake that it is a boy!
7. I don't know what I would do without my friends. My friends are the most amazing people ever and they can always make everything better and fun!
8. Wayne's World is still to this day one of my favorite movies!
9. I hate driving anymore. People are so stupid out there and I hate that I have to be a defensive driver just to get anywhere safely.
10. Now that my wedding is over, I don't find the wedding shows on TLC and WE as interesting.
11. I would love to be able to get my CPA license, but it is so expensive that I can't afford it right now.

The Questions
1. Where would you live if money was not a factor? I think I would still live where I do. I love my family and this is where I grew up, so I wouldn't change that.
2. Would you rather be Broke and Happy or Rich and Alone? Broke and happy. I mean I already am broke most of the time and we are happy, so yeah!
3. Whats your favorite dessert? Anything Red Velvet or Tiramisu
4. Whats the best vacation you've ever taken? That would have to be when I went to Hawaii on my Senior Class Trip.
5. Harry Potter or Twilight? Both!!!
6. Whats your guilty pleasure? The Maury show! I love finding out who the Baby Daddy is and I also love the "Look At Me Now" episodes. They are always fun!
7. Favorite Disney Princess, and why? That is a tie between Cinderella and Belle. I love their dresses and overall those are just my two fave Disney movies.
8. Would you ever re-live your high school days? A huge part of me wants to say yes, because there are a lot of things that I would change, but then at the same time that is hard to say because I wouldn't be where I am at today if I didn't go through what I did in High School, so I guess that answer is a no.
9. What trend/style do you wish would make a comeback? This one's hard. I can't think of one that I would definitely want to come back.
10. What era would you like to live in? I think the 50's and 60's would have been fun to live in. I love everything about those years. The movies, the music, the fashion. I think it would have just been an amazing time to live in.
11. What would you do with three million dollars? I would buy myself and my husband both new cars as well as a house! I would also put some of that away for our future kids College funds and then I would probably help my family out a little. I would probably also buy season tickets to the Broncos, haha! Who knows!

New Questions
1. What was the last song you listened to?
2. What was your favorite book as a child?
3. If you could meet any celebrity, who would it be and why?
4. What did you want to grow up to be when you were little?
5. What is your favorite show on TV?
6. Who is your favorite band/musician and what is your favorite song of theirs?
7. Did you play sports or were you in any clubs growing up?

Now, for the fun part. Tag! You're it!

Week One of Healthyness

Hello lovelies! I thought I would let you guys know how my diet/Biggest Loser thing is going so far. Today marks exactly one week since we started our Biggest Loser contest at work. So far things are going well. Everyone that has entered seems to be staying on track, which is fantastic!!

Source

I won't give you guys numbers yet because I want to wait until Firm Friday for that, but I will let you know how things are going.

I didn't go to the gym as much as I would have liked to last week, but I did still work out. I have been using our Wii Fit and our Just Dance games for our Wii to get some workouts in. However, I do need to get my butt back in the gym this week. Hopefully I won't be as sore as I was last week after going to the gym, because that shiz hurt! No pain no gain though, right?

As far as the eating healthy goes, I am doing really well. I am making sure to weigh and measure everything, especially since we have a food scale now.(Thank you wedding guests!) I am trying to be better about eating every two and half hours like they recommend. And I am trying not to eat too late at night. And I have been drinking tons of water. I had two 32 oz. Nalgene bottles full of water yesterday. That is a lot for me and let's just say I was in the bathroom A LOT!!

Something else that I am doing really well with is figuring out what to eat when we go out to eat. We went to Panda Express this weekend and instead of getting the Orange Chicken and the Crab Rangoon Wontons(Love these! Hence why I am on a diet) I opted for the Mushroom Chicken and the Mixed Veggies. One serving of the Mushroom Chicken is only 180 calories! Thank goodness for healthy alternatives!!

I have also set a goal for myself this week. That goal is to cut out diet soda entirely. I drink way too much of that stuff, so I am challenging myself to get rid of it all together. This may be easier said than done. Yikes!

Well, that is all the updates that I have for you guys right now. Make sure to come back on Friday for Firm Friday with K Law to see how much I have lost. I can't wait to share it with you guys! Have a great day everyone!

Fabulous Girls Night Out!

!WARNING! This post is very long with lots of pictures. You are in for a read, just wanted to let you know!

A few months ago, I told you guys about the Birthday/Christmas gift that the hubby bought me. Well, for those of you who don't know what I am talking about, he bought me two tickets to a Brad Paisley show in Denver. The main reason that I wanted to go was to see Scotty McCreery. I love that boy!! His voice melts my heart!

Anywho, last night was the show and all I can say is OH MY GOSH!! I have never been to a concert that amazing. We didn't have the best seats, but we weren't in the nose bleeds so I guess I can't complain. Oh my gosh, I am so excited to tell you guys all about this so that I can relive every moment!!

Okay so the bestie Lou and I drove to Denver and stopped at one of the big malls in Denver on our way up there. I had to pick up my ring from the jeweler and we decided to get food. Once we were done with that, we were on our way to the concert. Once we got there, we got to our seats and were ready for the show to start.

Scotty was up first. I was kind of disappointed with this because I knew that he wouldn't be on the stage for long. But when he came out and started singing, I didn't care. I was too focused on him and enjoying every second of him on the stage. I may have screamed like a little teenage girl a few times while he was out on stage. Like I said earlier, his voice just melts my heart.

Scotty was absolutely amazing!! I can't believe how flawless he sounded. And I can not wait for him to come back to Denver.

After Scotty was done being amazing, it was time for a set change. After about twenty minutes, the next band was up. And who was it? The Band Perry!! Another amazing talent!! I loved The Band Perry before we saw them, but I love them even more now. They were absolutely amazing and they had so much energy and were so much fun to watch.

I have to say that my favorite part of their set was when they started singing "Fat Bottom Girls" by Queen. That is one of my favorite songs, so hearing them sing it and sing it well, was amazeballs!! They also had mentioned that they would be at a certain section at the end of the show to meet the fans and sign autographs so we were definitely planning on doing that.

Once their set was over, it was time for another set change so that Brad Paisley could come out. We decided that we should go to the merch table and see if there was anything that we wanted before Brad came out. We fought through the crowd at the merch table and walked away with small photos of each performer. We then fought our way back through the crowds so that we could take our seats for the final act.

Brad Paisley soon came out and little did we know, we were in for an amazing night full of surprises. He started off the show and was amazing from the start. He is amazing on the guitar and his voice was amazing. He is so down to earth and just loves to be out their with his fans. At one point in the beginning of the show he was out on one of the runway stages in the middle of the crowd and he had his electric guitar slung over his shoulder and he had an acoustic guitar that he was playing for the first few chords of a song. All of a sudden he takes the acoustic guitar off and hands it to this little girl that was in the crowd around the stage. Crazy, I know!! That just seems like the kind of guy he is.

Brad Paisley even had Scotty McCreery come back out on stage and help him sing his song "Celebrity". It was awesome seeing Scotty up there with Brad. What was even funnier was that Brad had a big head Brad come out during this song too. If you have ever heard the song "Celebrity" you will understand this. It was definitely awesome.

About this time in the show I turned to Lou and I said that the only thing that could make this night any better was if Tim Tebow were there and came out on stage. Anyone who knows me knows that I am OBSESSED with Tim Tebow, not only is he gorgeous, but he is just a good Christian and I love that about him. No worries, the hubby knows and there was an arrangement made before we got married, haha, just kidding! Anywho, I continued to tell Lou that it wouldn't surprise me if he was there because he loves country music and he lives in Denver. And no joke, this happened...

As soon as I realized what they were doing, I started freaking out. I turned to Lou and started screaming. I kept saying, "They are Tebowing. He is here!! Oh my gosh, oh my gosh" I am not going to lie, I turned into a  teenage girl at this point. And then of course, Brad Paisley actually brought him out on stage. The place went absolutely nuts! I was jumping up and down and screaming like a little girl. I was so flippin excited that I was shaking. I could barely hold my camera and I just kept screaming. I know, I know, I was again acting like a teenage girl. I couldn't help it though. I mean it's Tim Tebow. Agghhhhhh!! I still can't get over it.

Tim Tebow helped Brad Paisley sing a few lines of "I'm Still A Guy" and then he went off stage. He wasn't the greatest singer, but you could tell that the crowd enjoyed him being there. I know that I definitely did. This made the night even more amazing and I couldn't believe that it actually happened.

The night continued with Kimberly Perry and the rest of The Band Perry coming out and helping Brad sing "Whiskey Lullabye". It was definitely awesome. She has such a great voice and such a great stage presence.

And just when we thought the night couldn't get any better, Brad started playing "You Remind Me". I looked at Lou and we both were wondering who was going to sing Carrie Underwood's part and then she walked out. Freaking Carrie Underwood walked out on stage and started singing. Are you kidding me? How many more amazing people were we going to get to see? We were ecstatic. She was amazing and she looked flawless!

And then a few songs later and the show was over. It was so amazing! I have to say that before this concert I was a fan of Brad Paisley's but never to the extent where I felt the need to buy his albums. That is not the case anymore. His performance out there was so fantastic that I am now a full fledged fan! We had such a great time and I don't know that any concert will ever top this one. I had never been to a country concert of this magnitude, but all I can say is WOW!!

Once the show was over we rushed out to the section that The Band Perry said they would be at so that we could go meet them and have them sign our small pictures that we bought. The line was humongous, but we didn't care. We waited. And it was well worth the wait.

Lou waiting in line.

Me "sitting" in line. My feet were killing me.

Right before they signed our stuff

They were awesome. They stayed and signed every single persons items that were in line. This made me love them even more. If you guys want to see a video of them coming up to us and signing stuff, you will have to go to my facebook and check it out here. I couldn't get it to upload on here.

To say the least, this was an amazing night out with my best friend. We had a blast and I don't know how we will ever top this, but we will sure try to. So I want to say thank you to my hubby again for buying us the tickets. And thanks to Lou for going with me and putting up with my ridiculous teenage girl screaming when Tim Tebow came out, haha! Love you Lou!

I hope that you guys had a great weekend, I know that I did. I definitely slept in today and have been trying to recoup from last night all day, it definitely took a lot out of me. Hopefully I will be able to start doing wedding recaps soon. I am still waiting on pictures.

Until then,

P.S. I know that I used the word "amazing" a lot in this post, but it truly was amazing!! Haha! Don't judge me!

A New Link Up: Firm Friday with K Law

So I need to fill you guys in a little. This past Tuesday at work we started our very own Biggest Loser. Each person who signed up had to pay $25. It is for 12 weeks and at the end of the 12 weeks, the top 3 people who have lost the biggest percentage of body weight win a cash prize. So with all of the people that have decided to participate, the first place prize is up to over $300. Yep, that is a lot of moolah!! And a big motivator!!!

So, I was one of the people to sign up because I am at the heaviest I have ever been and I really want to lose some weight. You would think that I would have wanted to do this with the wedding, but for some reason I wasn't concerned. Weird, I know!

Today, I noticed that Kayleigh over at Down at Fraggle Rock(Kayleigh always finds the best link ups-thanks!) linked up with K Law from First Name Smith for Firm Friday. So I headed on over to K Law's blog to see exactly what it was, and I knew instantly that I needed to start doing this. I think it will help me get on track because I will have something to report each week and that will make me want to work harder. So here goes! My first Firm Friday!

This week I renewed my Body Bugg subscription and started the workouts again. My goal is to lose 2 lbs a week and according to the program, that means that I have to burn 1000 more calories than I eat. I am only supposed to eat 1950 calories a day and I am supposed to burn 2950 calories a day. And let me tell you, it is not that easy.

The first day of workouts and eating healthy was on Tuesday. I did pretty good with the eating healthy part and I actually went to the gym and worked out too! That was a big step for me, haha! I hate the gym, not going to lie! I was so sore afterwards though. Today is the first day that I am not sore.

Wednesday didn't go as well. I had a huge headache when I left work so I went home and sat in the dark for the rest of the night trying to get it to go away! Boo for headaches!

Thursday was better. I did a lot better with eating healthy. And I worked out on my Wii Fit at home. I am happy to report that I reached my 1000 calorie deficit on Thursday!

So I guess I should get to my measurements. This is the part that I really hate.

Starting weight: 229.2 lbs(really Megan? Ugh!)
Other measurements: Not sure yet. I need to take those tonight so that I know where I am starting from.

So overall, this week has been pretty good. I am definitely doing better with the eating healthy part. And the exercise part is coming along. I just need to keep working at it.

My goal for this next week is to stay on track with the workouts and the eating healthy and to also cut out diet soda from my diet. I know it doesn't have any calories, but it still isn't good for you and I need to be drinking more water. Let's hope I can do this!!

Well, that is it for my first Firm Friday! If you want to join in and share how you are doing, remember to head on over to K Law's blog and link up!
