9 lbs Down

Just wanted to give an update on the weight loss journey so far. As of this morning, I am down 9 lbs. Yay!! I know it isn't a ton, but it is a great start for me. Once I lose the first 10 lbs, I won't want to stop so I am glad that I am so close. I fell off the wagon a little bit this weekend though. Not too bad though. It could have been worse, but I was good and refrained from all of the yummy fried food at Territory Days this weekend. Damn you Twisted Taters! You smelled so good!

Tonight we meet with our NEW personal trainer. The first one that they put us with didn't end up working out. His schedule was just too busy for us one week and he told us that he would call us to schedule our next session. Well, two weeks later and I still hadn't heard from him. I know that I could have called him, but that wasn't the point. So about a week ago I went and discussed our situation with one of the managers and come to find out, we were not the only people having this problem with him. They also said that they finally had him for a definite time every day and that time was 8 to 5:30 M-F. Well we work 8 to 5 and there was just no way to work with his schedule, so they gave us someone different. Her name is Tabitha and I am excited to meet her. I hope she kicks my butt. I need someone to push me a little bit because I am getting to a point where I am feeling comfortable and if I don't get that push now, I am not going to continue succeeding.

Well, that is all that I have for you guys for right now. Remember, my 100th post is getting close so a giveaway will be coming soon. Stay tuned for the details!! Have a great Tuesday!

Glitter Flats

I know quite a few people have been waiting on this post so.......here it is. Sorry it has taken so long but we have been super busy here. I'm not going to say much on this just show you guys some pictures. I will say that I was very excited with how they turned out and we are already in the process of making another pair. A quick tip though for any of you wanting to attempt these, when they are drying, don't put them in the sun. I put mine on our patio to dry out a little because they smelled like spray paint after putting the clear coat on them and the glitter has now faded. Oops! I guess I will have to make another pair! Okay, without further ado, here they are!

More Good News and a Graduation

Happy Friday everyone!

The day Kelsi was born
I have more awesome news to share with everyone. My almost three year old niece was also accepted to Preschool. Yay! Both of my nieces, who are sisters were accepted this past week and they will be starting school on August 15th and they will be in different classes. The oldest niece MaKenzi is very excited, but Kelsi is not, haha! That is Kelsi's personality though. I think she will eventually come around to love it. I still can't believe how big they have gotten. I remember the day Kelsi was born because I actually got to be here for that one. My sister-in-law actually let me be in the delivery room too. It was one of the coolest/grossest things I have ever seen in my life. I just remember crying after she was born. It was a very cool feeling. She has grown into a feisty little thing, but that is why we lover her. She is so freaking adorable and I am so excited for her!

MaKenzi meeting Kelsi for the first time
She is giving her a kiss
As mentioned before, my little sister graduates from High School this Saturday. This makes me feel very old because I realized the other day that it was five years ago this weekend that I graduated from High School and it feels like it was just yesterday that I was sitting there waiting for them to tell me I no longer had to exist in those hallways. Graduation for me was not sad, it was a celebration. I was so happy to get out of High School and away from all of the drama that it was more like a good riddance moment for me. My sister however, I think it is going to be a different story. She loves her friends and basketball and I have a feeling that she is going to miss High School a lot. At the same time though, I am excited for her to get out of there and see what else the world has to offer. I will probably cry tomorrow. I better remember to bring some tissues. I am so proud of her and sometimes I don't think she realizes that, but I am. She is such a beautiful and strong person and even though we hated each other growing up, I love her more than anything now. Congrats Rachelle! I love you tons not so little, little sister!
Her first Birthday

In other news, I wanted to mention to everyone that this is my 89th post and when I reach my 100th post, I am planning on doing a giveaway, so everyone be prepared. I am still working on what I will put into that giveaway, but I think it might have some delicious treats and maybe a few other really cute things. I hope that everyone has an amazing Memorial Day weekend. I know that I will begin enjoying mine today at noon when I leave work for the weekend and I have Monday off too! Let the happy dance begin!

Enjoy some more pictures of my niece Kelsi throughout the last three years of her life!

Yummm! Birthday cake!

Fill In The Blank Friday

It is finally Friday! I'm definitely doing a happy dance at my desk right now. Especially since I only have to work half day and I don't have to work on Monday. Love it!! Since it is Friday, it is time for Fill In The Blank Friday over at the little things we do. Remember, if you would like to join in, don't forget to link up.

Fill In The Blank Friday

1.   If I could get away somewhere for the weekend I would go to Joplin, MO because I really feel like my time could be spent helping others who are in need and I would definitely join the search teams for Will Norton and I would bring all of the supplies that I could to help in anyway shape or form
2.  Something I often rant about is   the stupid things that go on at work and things that I don’t necessarily agree with. Poor Aran, he gets the brunt of it most of the time.

3.  One item I need to have in my fridge at all time is   fruit. If I have fruit then I tend to snack on that instead of the bad stuff.

4.  My "life-saving" product is bobby pins. My side sweep bangs tend to get in my eyes a lot and so I almost always have a bobby pin on me when my bangs aren’t behaving.

5.  A friend is someone who   will drive to Kansas with you for your Grandmother’s memorial service and not even think twice about it. You know who you are! A friend is also someone who will be there no matter what and will listen to all of your problems and this list could go on and on.

6.  If I could write my own blank it would be
If you could be any character from Wayne’s World, who would you be? I would be Garth!
7.  My favorite kind of art is probably photography. I love seeing what people can capture with a camera and sometimes I get lucky and capture something amazing with my camera.

Feeling Helpless

I feel so helpless. All of these horrible things are going on in our country and I can't really do anything to help. I can donate money, but I feel like that isn't enough. People are hurting and mourning, and here I am, not able to do anything. Every time I turn on the news, a new story about someone that is missing after the tornado ripped through Joplin and every time my heart breaks a little bit more. I have been following three in particular. An 18 year old boy named Will Norton, who I wrote about a few days ago. A 16 year old named Lantz Hare who was found and identified today at one of the morgues and than a 16 month old little boy named Skyular who was also found and identified today at one of the morgues that is handling the tornado victims.

I don't even know any of these people and I found myself crying when I heard the news about each of them. It is just so heartbreaking to hear of all of the lives lost and how almost everyone has lost something. Whether it be their home, a family member, a friend, a pet or whatever else, everybody is mourning. It is so sad. I have been saying a prayer for all of those affected every time I think about it. These massive outbreaks have had me appreciating those that chase storms more and more each time. Most of them really are out there researching how tornadoes work and are doing everything that they can to get information that will hopefully save lives. Now I don't know if we will ever be able to prevent things like this from happening because tornadoes are so unpredictable, but if they can figure out ways to advance the warning systems, that would be amazing.

All of these horrible things have really opened up my eyes. It has made me realize that I need to live my life without fear because at any time, something could happen and it could be our time. It has also made me realize that not matter how big or small a warning for something like this is, it should always be taken seriously. I hope that others have taken that from these horrible tragedies as well.

I'm sorry for having such soppy and sad posts lately. Hopefully I will have something more cheerful for you guys next time. May all those that lost their lives rest in peace and may the families of those gone be comforted with God's peace.

Scotty McCreery

For those of you that have been reading my blog, you know that I LOVE American Idol and that I have been rooting for two people the whole season. Lauren Alaina and Scotty McCreery. Well they ended up both being in the finale and I had such a hard time deciding who I would vote for, but after watching the show last night, I decided that Scotty was more deserving and I voted for him. Well...

HE WON!!!!!! Ahhhhhh! I was so excited that I was sitting on the couch screaming with excitement. Yes, I know, I'm weird. I couldn't be happier for him and you know that great things are coming for Lauren as well so you can't be upset about her losing.

I was born and raised a country girl as far as music goes. I may have veered off that path for a little bit in High School and College, but I eventually found my way back to country, so I was so excited that we had two country music artists in the finale. It is really a win win for country music and I can't wait to see what these two young talents do with their music careers!

So Much To Tell Everyone

The day MaKenzi was born
I feel like I have not done a big update in a while. Well, here goes! First thing, my adorable and very smart 4 year old niece just got accepted to Preschool yesterday! We are all so excited for her and I know that she is super excited. She has been talking about going to school since she could talk pretty much. I can't believe how big she is getting. I remember the day she was born. I remember because I was so mad that I couldn't be there because I was six hours away at school. And then I remember getting an email from my mom and opening it to find a picture of the cutest little girl and I just started bawling. And now she is going to school! I'm going to start crying just typing this. Stop it Megan! Haha!

The first time I got to meet MaKenzi
Second, I am pretty much all the way done with my RCIA classes! Yay! I only have two classes left and they are in June, so I have some downtime right now, which is way nice. We have also recently started our Marriage Prep classes. They have definitely been interesting and insightful so far. I'm glad that we are taking them. I think they are going to help us figure out a lot of things that we otherwise wouldn't have even talked about. I recommend them to anyone who is getting married.

Third, my little sister is graduating from High School on Saturday! I can't believe how old this makes me feel, haha! She is actually in Florida right now on her senior trip. Lucky duck! I hope that she is having a blast. I am so excited for her graduation. I remember being there five years ago. It is crazy! I hope that she does well in College and does really well for herself in life. Congrats Rachelle! I love you and I am so proud of you!

MaKenzi at 1 years old sitting with Aran
And lastly, unless I think of something else, Lacey and I finally made our glitter flats. They turned out so well. I will try and get the pictures up later tonight. We loved them so much that we made a second pair. They aren't quite done yet because we haven't had a chance to finish them, but I am very excited about them.

Thanks for reading through my ramblings. Hope everyones Wednesday is great so far.

P.S. I am thinking about doing a giveaway soon, but I would love to get some ideas on what would be a good prize. Let me know in the comments below. Thanks everyone!!

Enjoy some pictures of my niece MaKenzi throughout the years

Wee Bit Wednesday

It is time for Wee Bit Wednesdays with Leigh Ashley. Don't forget to link up if you join in.

{one} what’s the worst date you’ve ever been on?
Umm, I would have to say a double date that I went on with my friend Amy. She was meeting a guy that she had been talking to online for a while so she invited a friend of mine from Junior High and it was just a very weird and awkward date. Amy and I ended up having more fun doing stupid things than we did with our dates.

{two} if you could be any other person for one day, who would it be?
This one is hard. I would have to say anyone that is famous. It would be cool to see what a day in their life would be like.

{three} what is your favorite kind of cheese?
I love cheese in general. I can’t pick just one.

{four} do you remember your 1st grade teacher?
Yes! Her name was Mrs. Swanson and she was awesome. I remember a lot of things that she used to do for us.

{five} who is the first person you call when you have a bad day?
My mom!

{six} were you ever in a school talent show?
Yeah, I was in a few in Elementary and one in Junior High. I mostly sang in them.

{seven} who is your favorite fictional character?
This one is hard. I would have to say either Harry Potter or the vampires in Twilight. I know, I’m lame.

{eight} can you open your eyes underwater?
No. I have never been able to. It hurts too much and it is just weird.

{nine} do you look at the keyboard when you type?
No, not really. If I am having a hard time typing for some reason then I will, but most of the time I don’t have to look.

{ten} when was the last time you took a nap?
I can’t even remember which means it has been too long. I wish I could take one right now!

Heartbreaking Devastation

I am not even sure where to begin with this post. I have so many emotions running through me right now and it is because of all of the horrible tornadoes that have been ripping through our country. I have not even been affected by any of them as far as losing friends or family or possessions, but I feel so terrible for the people that have. I can't even begin to imagine how they are feeling and I wish there was something that I could do to help them. I know that I can donate money and things like that, but I just wish that I could do more than that.

I took this picture from the
"Help Find Will Norton"
Facebook page.
The latest one in Joplin, MO is breaking my heart. Some of the stories that are coming out of Joplin are just heartbreaking and so hard to even just read. Can you imagine living that story. One story that has particularly caught my attention is that of Will Norton. If you haven't heard the story of Will Norton, let me give you just a little bit of information. Will Norton is 18 years old with brown hair and blue eyes and he and his father were driving home from his High School Graduation on Sunday when the tornado hit and sucked Will out of the sunroof of the SUV that him and his dad were in. His dad has been found and I believe is okay, but the family has not been able to find Will. They don't know if he is alive or not, but they just want to find him. They have been doing everything in their power to find him, but have not had any success. They have even launched a Facebook page called Help Find Will Norton to help with their efforts. They are asking anybody that has actually SEEN him to please contact them.

I'm sure there are tons more stories out there just like Wills. It is just heartbreaking hearing about what these people are going through. If there is anyway that you can help, I encourage you to do so. If I am able to find an address where you can send items if you are not able to donate money, I will post it. I hope that if any of you have friends and family that were affected by this, that they are all safe and well. My thoughts and prayers will be with everyone that was affected by this storm.

Redecorating Itch

The best picture I could get of my office
I get this itch every once in a while where I feel the need to redecorate or rearrange things in my office and even at home. This itch is the reason that I rearranged our living room a few months ago and realized that I liked it better the new way. I have always been about making the most out of the space that you have. I think this comes from when I was younger and had to share my room with my sister. I didn't have a lot of my own space, so I did with it what I could.

New dry erase calendar
Well today, I am getting that itch. I have been trying to rearrange a few things in my office to make it look better, but with not a lot of options, it is really hard to do anything. So my solution, adding a new dry erase calendar to my wall. I found this calendar at Staples today for a whopping $3 and had to have it. So it added a little bit more of a personal touch to my office. I also received all of my newly purchased Scentsy stuff yesterday and because my party sold so much, I had a credit for over $100 so I got a ton of stuff I wasn't planning on, which meant that I got to order an extra warmer for my office. Yay! It is cute and adds a little bit more personality. I still wish that I could do more though.

English Ivy Scentsy Warmer
Scent today:
Perfectly Pomegranate
I wish my office wasn't a bunch of temporary walls. As you can tell from the picture above, I don't even have a real desk. My desk doesn't have legs, and I can't move it around. It is held up with temporary walls that have filing cabinets on them, so you can't do anything. You can't move them or everything would fall apart. I really wish that they weren't like this. My coworker and I discuss all the time about how we would have the office set up so much differently if we had permanent walls and a real door. It's okay to dream right? It will never happen though. I'm sure the last thing on my employer's mind is that they need to make our walls permanent, haha!

All of this talk is suddenly making me want to rearrange and redecorate the apartment tonight. Especially my room. The walls are pretty bare, and I have a theme that I want to establish, but having the funds to do so isn't always in the cards. I know this has been totally overdone, but I really want to do a New York theme in my room and if I ever have a guest bedroom, I want to do a Paris theme in it. I think it would be way cute to have a different city theme in each room. This probably won't happen for a long time, but I think it would be a lot of fun to shop for all of the different pieces and to actually put the room together.

The cork board in my office with all of my fave
pictures on it.
I keep trying to think of new things to do to make my office a little bit more me, but I am not sure what to do. Do any of you have any suggestions? I would really like to here what you guys have done with an office space to make it have some more personality. Well, I hope that everyone has an amazing weekend!

Fill In The Blank Friday

It is Friday and that means it is time for Fill In The Blank Friday over at the little things we do. I haven't done this link up in a while, so I figured I would today. Remember if you want to join in on the fun, you can do so by going here and don't forget to link up.

Fill In The Blank Friday

1.   People always tell me I look like, I don’t think I have ever been told that I look like anyone. That makes me kind of sad now, haha!

2.  Friends don't let friends drive drunk, or look stupid, haha! I know I am being cliché with the first one, but I am one of those people that if you have a drink, I take your keys, as for the other one, I would never let one of my friends go somewhere if they looked ridiculous, so I hope that they would do the same.

3.  A sunny day is perfect for   going on walks and just enjoying the sunshine. Also going downtown or anywhere for that matter and just walking around all the businesses.

4.  My favorite accessory is purses. I love purses. And in the winter I love wearing scarves.

5.  If I could afford it I would   buy a new car, mine is on it’s last legs.

6.  The cure for boredom is
finding something fun to do like a puzzle or a game that takes your mind off of being bored.
7.  I am currently "in like" with anything Scentsy, glitter flats, and the amazingly yummy sandwiches that Lacey makes for me!!

Glitter Shoe Mania and American Idol

Tonight Lacey and I are setting out on our adventure to make our glitter flats. And tonight, America finds out who is going to be in the Top 2 for American Idol. Both of these things are a huge deal to me!! Yes, I know, I'm kind of a dork. I get excited about a lot of weird things, haha! Oh, and my glitter flats that I ordered are out for delivery, so I should have those when I get home!!

Hopefully our shoes will turn out amazing. Regardless, I will post pics to show you our success or our epic fail. I am really hoping for the success, but as we all know, not everything works out the way we want it to, so fingers crossed everyone! And as far as American Idol goes, if you follow me on Twitter you know that I was dialing and voting like a mad women last night for Scotty and Lauren. I love, love, love them and I hope to see the two of them in the finale. Speaking of Scotty, one of the songs that he sang last night is on the radio. If you haven't heard this song and are a country music fan, I highly recommend it. It is called "Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not?" by Thompson Square. Love this song! We will find out tonight the fate of Scotty and Lauren. Again, fingers crossed!

Well, I will keep you guys updated on the glitter flat adventure! Hope everyone is having a great day.

P.S.

It is raining here and I love it!! I love spring time rain showers in Colorado!

This is what I am hoping that my glitter flats
will look like when I am done minus the bow
and the strap. These are actually little girls
shoes, haha!

TV Finales Make Me Want To Cry (And Sometimes I Do)

As most of you have read in the past, I am such a TV junkie. I have cut back quite a bit because of working out and various other things, but I still have certain shows that I absolutely love to watch and will DVR if I am not going to be home. Well it is that time of year when all of the shows have their season finales and wrap up for the summer. This always makes me really sad because TV during the summer just flat out sucks. There is never anything on and it drives me bonkers, bonkers I tell you!

Well, as of last night six of my favorite TV shows have already wrapped for the summer. I know that seems like a lot, but three of them are half our shows so, it really isn't that bad, right? For those of you interested, the six are:

  • How I Met Your Mother(They faked us out in the last episodes, I fell for it!)
  • Mad Love(Which has been cancelled, BOO!!!!)
  • Mike and Molly(Still waiting to here if it is being picked up for another season, fingers crossed!)
  • Castle(Damn cliffhanger endings!)
  • One Tree Hill(Yay for Season 9)
  • Breaking In(Which has also been cancelled but there is a Twitter movement going to get it picked back up! Join here if you love this show)

A lot of you are probably wondering how I even have time to watch all of these. That is where the magicalness(yes, I know it isn't a word, but technically I just made it one) of DVR comes in. I don't even watch most of these shows live. I would rather watch them on the DVR so that I can fast forward through commercials, haha! Yes, I am that lazy and that much of a couch potato. But if you think about it, I am saving time that I can later use to do something else, haha! In the famous words of Wayne Campbell "Yeah, and monkeys might fly out of my butt!"

As far as the remainder of this week goes, there is only one more show that will have its finale and that is The Big Bang Theory, which I absolutely love and adore. I am really not looking forward to next week, because all of the remaining shows that I watch will definitely be done for the season. The remaining shows are:

  • American Idol(Go Scotty and Lauren!)
  • Glee(This one makes me sad!)
  • Biggest Loser(The last two or three episodes of this show ALWAYS make me cry!)

And that is pretty much it. I guess the good news about all of these ending is that it will force me to get my butt off the couch and go work out. I did pretty good last night though. While I was watching The Biggest Loser, I did all of my core workout. What better motivation than seeing how far all of those contestants have come in their journey. Well, I will quit boring you for now, haha! I will try to do another post later. Oh, and a giveaway is quite possibly in the works for the future so stay tuned!!

Where Is The Motivation?

Where is the motivation? Because recently, I have had none. I have been having such a hard time getting motivated to workout. I know that my wedding should be motivating me, but it isn't. I think it is because it is so far away it seems. I mean really it is only 8 and a half months away, but it feels like it is never going to get here.

I have been doing really well with not eating things that I shouldn't, but the working out part is a little bit harder. Even with the trainer, I haven't been doing very well getting to the gym. He was supposed to call me last week so that we could figure out which days to meet because I was out of town on Thursday and Friday, but of course, I didn't hear a thing from him. I know that I could have called, but I was so stressed with everything that had to be done before I had to leave for Kansas, that I forgot to call him. Hopefully I hear from him soon, if not, I am going to have to call him and figure this out I guess. I have already moved a lot around for this because he told me that he is only at the gym on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Well, I was already busy on those days, but was able to switch so that I would be available to meet with him. I hope that all of this works itself out, because I am becoming very frustrated with all of it.

What do you guys do for motivation to keep working out? And what are some of the things that you do when you go to the gym? I am always looking for new things to include in my workout. Well, back to work I guess. Happy Monday!

Almost an Epic Fail

Today Lacey and I decided to try and make our own glitter ballet flats. I have been trying to find a hot pink or a light pink pair of glitter ballet flats to wear for my wedding, because that is totally how I roll, haha! Well, I haven't been able to find any so my friend Krystal over at Hello Darlin' posted a DIY on how to make your own glitter flats.

So we set out today to try and make them. Well, it took us most of the day just to find the flats to use. We spent all day running around town just trying to find plain black flats. We found the perfect ones at Target, but of course, they didn't have the size that we needed. So we went to another Target and again, they didn't have the size that we needed. But when we were at the second one, I found the cutest pair of glitter flats that I hadn't seen before. I loved them so much, but again, they didn't have my size. So we decided to go to the SuperTarget on the other side of town. And of course again, they didn't have either of our sizes in either shoe so we weren't sure what to do.

After searching for a few hours for these shoes, we decided to go eat lunch at this Thai restaurant. We both had Pad Thai and it was really yummy, but it was a little spicy. haha! I'm such a baby when it comes to that stuff. Afterwards we went to Ross and TJ Maxx just to see if we could find anything, and again we found nothing.

After all of this searching we finally say what the heck, we will try Wal-Mart. We got into the shoe section and the first corner that we turned, there was an entire rack of plain black flats just hanging there, laughing at us, haha! Can I just say that we felt so stupid for not looking at Wal-Mart to begin with. So while we were there, we decided to look for the rest of the supplies. We were able to pick up all of them except the actual glitter. They only had a few colors and they weren't quite what we wanted so we will have to pick that up some time this week at Hobby Lobby or Michael's.

The shoes I ordered. They aren't pink,
 but I really like them
With all of that being said, we didn't actually get to make the shoes today because we ran out of time. So this was almost an epic fail, but luckily we were able to find the shoes so it wasn't a total fail. And, I decided to order the other glitter flats that we found at Target online just in case ours don't turn out that well. So I may have just ordered the shoes I will be wearing with my wedding dress. Eeeek!! They should be here by the end of the week. I will keep you guys updated on how making our own does go though. I will post some pictures as soon as we have them done. Hope that everyone had a good weekend!

Back In Town

Happy Saturday everyone! I hope that everyone is enjoying their weekend so far. Well I got back into town last night around 5ish. Some of you may be wondering where I was. Well, as many of you know, I lost my Grandmother in December. She meant the world to me and things have been really difficult without her. Well, this past Friday was her funeral service. The place where the service was being held was outside so we decided to wait until it warmed up a bit to hold it. So Thursday morning I rented a car, went and picked up one of my best friends, Lacey and her dog Buster, who was so amazing and said she would go with me, and we took off for Protection, KS.

Now, if you have never heard of Protection, KS, don't be surprised, haha! It is the smallest town EVER! I don't even get cell phone reception there. But that is where my Grandma was living and my Aunt and my Cousin are still living there. The trip took about 6 hours or so and it was so windy the whole way there. But once we got there it was nice seeing some of my family and catching up with everyone.

Friday morning we woke up and headed to Fort Dodge, KS which is just a few minutes outside of Dodge City, KS. Grandma's service was held at the Fort Dodge Veterans Cemetery. My Grandpa was laid to rest there and so my Grandma had a place there with him. It was definitely a very difficult day, especially when I had to help put my Grandma's Urn into the wall. It was like I was having to say a final goodbye and it took all of what I had to be able to do this. It is taking a lot for me just to write this post. Losing my Grandma has been one of the most difficult things I have ever had to go through and some days I wonder if it is ever going to be okay? Am I ever going to feel at peace with her being gone? Why did it have to be her? Why couldn't she have lived longer? Why did she have to get lung cancer? I ask myself these questions almost everyday.

Now if any of you have read the very first post that I ever did, you know that butterflies have a very special meaning in my family, which is why my blog is named what it is. If you haven't read it, let me give you the short version. Every time that someone in my family has passed away, we have had butterflies appear shortly after they have passed and some of them have appeared at their funeral services. Well, it was a really crappy day yesterday in Kansas, so I wasn't surprised when one didn't appear. After Lacey and I left the service to head back home, we stopped in Lamar, CO. When we were walking into McDonalds' to get something to drink, a small pale yellow butterfly flew right by us. I knew as soon as I saw it that it was Grandma telling me that she was okay and the she was happy now. I am trying to take comfort in that fact, but it still doesn't make it any easier.

I'm hoping that since we have now laid her to rest, that I will start to be okay with her leaving, but I know that it is going to take me some time. I am sure that I am not alone in how I am feeling about this. I know that many people have lost people that they love, but it is so hard to compare something like this because everybody's situation is different.

Thank you everyone for reading this and I especially want to say thank you to Lacey for going with me. You gave me a lot of strength with you just being there. Thank you so much for being such a great friend. Well, that is enough blubbering for now. I hope that everyone is enjoying their weekend.
