Weigh-In Wednesday

It's time for Weigh-In Wednesday

I don't have a ton for you guys today for WIW. But I have a few updates. I have been doing really well this week with eating clean and staying on track. I feel a zillion times better when I actually stay on track with my eating and know that what I am putting into my body is good for it. I have also been rocking the amount of water that I have been drinking. Let's just say that I am having to go to the bathroom A LOT! Haha!

Okay, time for the weight. Last week I was 181.4 and today I am 181.0. A difference of -.4 lbs. Not what I was wanting or expecting, but I am still down technically, so I am not going to complain. I am starting to think that the whole lean muscle thing is starting to work. Who knows! But I can say that it is hard not to see progress when you have gotten so used to seeing progress.

I just need to keep pushing myself. I will get over this small hurdle at some point and start losing again. And thankfully these next two weeks I am working with my trainer every other day to get my sessions out of the way that he is doing for free. Hopefully that will help push me a little bit more too. And hopefully the weather stays nice because I was able to go out for a run/walk with Louie(the dog) on  Monday and it felt amazing. I am looking forward to more of these.

Okay, that is all I have for today. Thanks for stopping by and checking in! Have a great hump day everyone!

Weekend Recap

This past weekend was full of family, friends and lots of fun.

Friday afternoon I left work a little early so that I could head down to my personal trainers new studio for a session that we already had scheduled. Once he was done kicking my ass, I headed home to get ready to go out for the night.

My friend Megan and a friend of hers from work were going out for dinner and then going Salsa dancing at this Latin nightclub. We thought it would be fun and something different. Dinner was delicious and we had a great time hanging out and talking. After we were done eating, we headed over to the nightclub so that we could catch the last few minutes of the lesson that they were having that night.

After going through the last 30 minutes of the lesson, we just hung out and danced for a while. Although it was fun, it definitely was not my thing. Hence this tweet.

And not to mention this old sweaty dude would not leave us alone. He kept coming up to us and wanting us to dance with him. I did once and when I realized that dude didn't understand what personal space was, I was done. Ewww! It was just, eww! He finally got the hint and left us alone, but it was annoying as crap. Overall though we had a fun night. We are excited to go out again and go dancing, but we decided that we will just go to Cowboy's next time (a country western bar that is downtown) because we actually know the dances that they do there.

Saturday I got up and went to the gym for Zumba. I felt like such a traitor pulling up to the gym and going in. If you are confused as to why I felt this way, you can read yesterday's post here and it will explain. After Zumba I went home and snuggled up on the couch for a bit with Louie and watched some TV. It was cold and dreary out and I just wanted to do nothing but lay around.

Around 3ish I decided to get off the couch and get moving. I got dressed and headed out to go find some new jeans because mine aren't fitting very well. Well that was a complete bust. Apparently I am in between sizes right now and nothing fits. It's annoying.

I then headed over to my Brother and my SIL's house and met the Hubby there. We decided to hang out and have a movie night. So I made dinner for everyone. A big pot of Chicken Enchilada Soup. We watched Frozen and American Hustle. I freaking loved Frozen. It was so cute! And American Hustle was really good too, but it is definitely a movie that I will have to watch again to fully understand everything that happened.

I also got all of my snuggles in with my new Nephew. He is so cute and I just can't get over how adorable he is. I love him so much already. And so does everyone else. It was nice to get to spend some time with my family.

Sunday was my usual running around day. Groceries, more jeans shopping, laundry, cleaning. Ya know, all the same stuff I do every Sunday. Still no luck finding jeans. I think I am just going to have to wait a few more weeks until I am a few lbs smaller and a few inches smaller. Oh well. Just have to keep working at it I guess.

That was my weekend. Did you guys do anything fun?

Things Happen For A Reason

Normally I would have a weekend recap for you guys, but this has been weighing heavy on me all weekend. I just need to get this off my chest, so this of course is the one place that I feel comfortable doing that.

I have been in a perpetual state of pissed off since Thursday evening.

It all started when I walked into the gym for Zumba on Thursday only to have my personal trainer stop me before I walked into the locker room. He wanted to give me a heads up that he was probably getting fired the next day and just wanted me to know so that I wasn't blind sided by it. And also because he wanted me to know that he wasn't just bailing. I was in shock. I couldn't believe that someone that was so good at their job could get fired. I just couldn't wrap my head around it. And all it did was piss me off.

Long story short, shit apparently hit the fan on Thursday when someone from the gym found a website that him and a friend of his had put together to try and get their own personal training business up and running. I am not sure how they found it, but they did and they weren't happy. They automatically assumed that he was training people outside of the gym and didn't even ask him about it to find out the truth. Instead they didn't allow him to work that day.

After hearing this I was extremely pissed off. I not only felt bad for him, but felt bad for his clients that they cancelled on. It just seemed like bad business, but they apparently didn't care. He told me that he was supposed to go in and talk with them the next morning(Friday) and that he would let me know after his meeting what was going on.

Friday morning rolls around and I get a text from him letting me know that he is no longer working at the gym. I'm not going to get into all the details of everything that went down because I wasn't there, but from what he did tell me, it wasn't good. And what the gym did was just wrong.

I am pissed for multiple reasons. First, because they didn't even talk to him first. They just assumed that since he had a website set up that he was automatically guilty. Second, there was no non-compete clause in his employment agreement/contract, so technically they had no right to terminate him for this. Unfortunately, Colorado is an at will state so they can terminate you for any reason they want. Third, I still had seven sessions with him that I had already paid for and was now not going to be able to use. My only options were to start training with another trainer or just lose out on my sessions and the money that I have already paid. And at this point, I am not about to start over with a new trainer. I have come so far with his help. He knows where I am at in this whole process. He knows what I am capable of and I don't feel that training with someone else would be beneficial to what I am trying to do right now.

I think above all the main reason that I am so pissed about this situation is that I feel like the gym itself did a really shitty thing. The way that they treated him pushed me over the edge to the point that I am not even sure that I want to be a member anymore. I know that seems kind of extreme, but if you knew my trainer like I do, you would understand why I feel this way. He is seriously one of the nicest, hardest working and most positive people I know. And he was treated like absolute crap. I have known this guy for five months and at this point I consider him to be my friend as well, so just knowing how he was treated by the place that I am paying to go workout every day, it just feels wrong even going there. I mean I went to the gym for Zumba on Saturday and even just pulling up to the place made me even more pissed off at the whole situation.

I am the type of person that if you do something to my family and friends, I get very protective and well, pissed off. So why would this be any different? Like I said, I consider him to be a friend. So my protective and pissed off mode kicked right in and I just can't seem to shake it.

The crazy part about all of this is that my trainer has been super positive through the whole thing. And has gone above and beyond to make sure that his clients are being taken care of. Before all of this had happened, we had already set up a session for Friday afternoon, so he made sure that I got my session in. We met on Friday afternoon and with barely any equipment, he still kicked my ass! He wasn't planning on starting his own business so quickly, but because of everything that has happened, he has decided to move forward with it. And I am happy that he is. And I will be following him to his new business! That is for sure!

And he is honoring the sessions that I still had left with him, even though I don't agree. I understand why he wants to do this for me, but at the same time I feel like I am taking money from him. I mean this is his job and how he lives. Yeah, I was going to be out some money, but I had already paid for those sessions and that money was already gone. And it isn't like I was counting on that money to help pay my bills. So of course me being who I am, I am going to try and get these session out of the way as quickly as possible so that I can start paying him again.

These last few days have been crazy with all of this going on and trying to figure out what I am going to do gym wise. But I know one thing for sure, things happen for a reason and this was apparently how things were supposed to go down. And who knows, this might actually be for the best. Only time will tell I guess.

My Latest Obsessions

Happy Friday everyone! I am so glad that it is Friday. I desperately need a few days away from work.

Here lately I have been completely obsessed with a few things. I thought it would be fun to share what those obsessions are.

1. Workout Clothes

Oh my gosh I can not get enough workout clothes. I don't know what it is, but I just love them. And I keep finding more and more things that I like. My latest fave is these tanks from Under Armour. I currently have three colors and am getting ready to order more. They are sooooooo comfy!

Source
2. Bluetooth Feature

My new car has this awesome Bluetooth feature. Anytime that I get in the car my phone automatically pairs with the Bluetooth and all of my phone calls automatically become hands free. Not to mention that I can play my music on my phone directly through the radio using this feature too. I love it. It is seriously the most convenient and useful feature ever!

3. Cosmos Creations Corn

Source
This shiz is amazing!! I can't even begin to tell you how delicious it is. It is baked corn. And the texture and taste closely resemble a buttery Cheeto, but oh my eff! I can not get enough of these lately. It is a great low calorie snack and you get a good amount for your serving! I have been buying this stuff like it is crack.

4. Peanut Butter

Source
I don't' know what it is about peanut butter lately, but I have been eating it like a crazy person lately too. This is one of my fave peanut butters from a restaurant downtown called P.B. & Jellies. I don't care how old you are, you are never too old for a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Never!

5. Skinnytaste.com Recipes

Like I told you guys, I recently discovered skinnytaste.com and I am obsessed. I am on there daily looking for different recipes. I probably have 20+ recipes printed off from that website that I am waiting to try. I can't wait. They all look so delicious

And last but definitely not least...
6. My Nephew

This is my favorite picture so far. This is my youngest Niece, Rylei, holding her new little brother Hunter. Soo freaking cute! I just love this little guy! And I love my family!

And those are my latest obsessions. Hope you guys have a great weekend!

Hunter Logan

Tuesday, March 18th was an amazing day. We finally got to welcome my new Nephew, Hunter Logan into our family!

Hunter was born at 2:20 pm and weighed 8 lbs and 2 oz and was 19 inches long.

We are all so excited that he is finally here! And my Brother's little family finally feels complete.

I am not going to lie, I spent most of the rest of the day holding and snuggling this little guy any chance that I got.

And I loved getting to see everyone else meet him for the first time. Especially Uncle Aran.

Welcome to the family Hunter. We are so happy that you are finally here! And I can't even begin to tell you how much I already love you and how much the rest of your family is already in love with you. I can't wait to watch you grow and thrive. And I can't wait to see the relationships that you form with your Sisters and with your Mom and Dad and the rest of the family.

Welcome to the world little man!

Weigh-In Wednesday

Good morning everyone! Happy Hump Day! It's time for Weigh-In Wednesday!

This past week has been a zillion times better than the previous week. I finally got back into my routine after being laid up for a few days with the whole wisdom teeth ordeal. I got back into the gym and worked my butt off. And it felt AMAZING!!  I think I can officially say that I am addicted to working out. I don't like going more than one or two days without doing anything. And I actually enjoy the way that I feel when I am done with a great workout. Yeah, I just realized I am a gym rat, haha!

Although this week has been a great week with getting back on track, it has also presented a new challenge for me. My trainer wants me to put on 2-3 lbs of lean muscle so that I am burning extra calories. I am supposed to achieve this by upping the amount of weight I am doing while lowering my reps. I have been doing this since before I had my wisdom teeth pulled. The problem with this is that there is a possibility that I may not lose any weight for a few weeks. I am struggling with this whole idea. I get why he wants me to do it, because it will eventually help me in the long run, but at the same time I don't want to stay the same for a few weeks.

My mindset is that I should be losing weight, not staying the same. And I stayed the same last week, and that was hard for me to not see any progress. So I am really struggling with this whole concept. I am giving it a go, but it isn't easy. But the weird things is that I am still losing. So I am worried that I am actually not doing it right. Who knows. I am probably just stressing about this for nothing.

Last week I started a new weight loss challenge group. I actually ended up winning the last one I was in. Which was awesome! I won $90 and took the money and got my hair done. I felt like I deserved it. But so far the challenge is going well. The points system is set up a little differently this time, so it should be interesting to see how this one goes. I hope I can win this one too! That would be awesome!

Okay, now for my progress report. I am happy to report that I am down 2.6 lbs from last week! My weight as of this morning was 181.4! I can not believe how close I am to being in the 170's. I am that much closer to getting to my goal weight. I still have a ways to go, but I am getting closer with each day.

And the encouragement that I have been receiving from people lately is just amazing. I specifically want to say thank you to Britt and K and my trainer. You guys have been such great supporters for me lately. Crazy enough, K and my trainer both made identical comments to me the other day when I was talking about how I was struggling with not seeing any progress. They both reminded me that my first goal was to get under 200 lbs and they both reminded me that I blew through that goal and have now lost almost another 20 lbs! And it made me realize that I have some great people in my corner. So thank you for always supporting me. And thank you to those that I didn't specifically mention. There are a lot of you that have been supporting me since day one, whether it be in real life or in blog land, but please know that I really appreciate everyone's support and encouragement.

That is all I have for today's WIW post. Thanks for stopping by and checking on my progress! Have a great day everyone!

New Recipe Tuesday

Happy Tuesday everyone!

In an effort to find some fresh new ideas for dinner, especially on the healthier side, the Hubs and I have decided to start picking one to two new recipes to try out for dinner each week. So I thought it would be fun to share the recipe, the experience and the final result with you guys on a weekly basis. So welcome to New Recipe Tuesday.

I will tell you this, most of the new recipes that we are trying are going to be coming from Skinnytaste.com because that girl has some seriously delicious sounding recipes and I just keep finding more that I want to try. And the best part about her recipes is that they are healthy and taste delicious. I hate sacrificing taste for calories.

This past Saturday the Hubs and I couldn't decide what we wanted for dinner, so we decided to look through the bajillions of recipes that I had printed off from Skinnytaste.com. We came across one for Taco Stuffed Zuchini Boats and it just sounded delicious and we already had almost everything we needed to make it. Almost. I had to run to the store and grab a few things, but nothing ridiculous.

I started by cutting my zucchinis in half long ways. I also cut up the rest of my veggies that the recipe called for. To create the boats in the zucchini, she tells you to use a melon baller to scoop out a small section. I didn't have a melon baller, so I used a strawberry huller that we had and it worked, but not as well as a melon baller probably would have.

Once I had all my zucchini cut and gutted to make the boats I boiled them for a minute like the recipe said to do. This was pretty easy and very self explanatory.

Once I finished creating my boats, I started working on the filling. I browned ground turkey in a pan and then started adding the remaining ingredients. In Gina's recipe she has a bunch of spices that I believe end up becoming a taco seasoning. Well we didn't want to go out and buy all of those spices, so we actually just omitted those from the recipe and used a freshly ground taco seasoning that we buy from a local spice shop here in town. We also decided not to add the tomato sauce and used water instead.

Don't mind my messy stove. Eww!
Once we added the taco seasoning and the remaining ingredients that it called for, we let that sit and cook for a while. We waited until the water had cooked down quite a bit and we had a thicker consistency.

Once the meat filling was done, we then proceeded to stuff our boats. We used the recommended amount of 1/3 of a cup per boat and then topped each one with a little bit of cheese and then covered them with foil so that they could go in the oven.

We popped these in the oven for 35 minutes and let them cook away. They smelled so delicious the whole time they were cooking. I couldn't wait for them to come out of the oven.

Once we pulled them out of the oven, we let them cool for a few minutes and then I topped them with cut up pieces of avocado. I thought about even adding a little bit of sour cream to these, but I decided to forgo the calories this time around. Gina also calls for you to use salsa and top them with that, but we didn't have any, so yeah. Couldn't really do that.

Overall these were very easy to make and they were absolutely delicious. I love the flavor combinations and I especially loved the avocado on top. It was perfect. These will definitely become a regular menu item in our house!

Weekend Recap

Hey everyone! It's Monday. Wah, wah, wah!

Time for my weekend recap I suppose.

First of all, Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone. I hope you all got a chance to celebrate it the way that you wanted to this weekend.

My weekend was kind of busy, but fun at the same time. Friday night I left work and headed to the gym. I did upper body, some core and some cardio. It actually ended up being a great workout. I felt really good afterwards which is always a plus.

After I left the gym I went to go meet my Brother, my SIL and my Nieces for dinner at Olive Garden. We had a really good time eating and talking for a few hours. After dinner I headed home and went to bed. It had been a long day and I was exhausted.

Saturday morning I got up and made myself some breakfast and then got ready to head to the gym. At the gym I went to my Saturday morning Zumba class. It was a great workout and definitely a great way to start my day.

I headed home afterwards and vacuumed out my car. The drivers side seat and the back of the car were starting to get a little dirty. And of course being who I am, I have been really anal about keeping it clean, so I cleaned it out. After that I headed upstairs to take a shower and get ready to go meet KB.

I headed over to KB's around 1 pm so that we could go downtown to a restaurant called 503w. The Colorado Rapids season opener was on Saturday, so we attended the watch party at 503w. They had great food too. The Rapids ended up tying with New York, but it was better than a loss.

After the game I dropped KB off at her place and then headed home. We were supposed to have our cooking night, but she hasn't been feeling good, so we decided to postpone it. When I got home the Hubs and I started dinner. We chose a new recipe that I found on skinnytaste.com and it turned out really good. It was the Taco Stuffed Zuchinni Boats. I have seriously fallen in love with this website. Her recipes all look so good.

After we were done with dinner we headed to Target to do some browsing. I ended up with two CD's and a new planner that I intend to use for blogging and the Hubs picked out a new movie for himself. After our Target shopping spree, we headed to ITop It for some frozen yogurt and then headed home. I spent the rest of the night laying in bed and watching Harry Potter.

Sunday I spent the whole day cleaning up around the house and grocery shopping. We have been pretty lazy lately and haven't been keeping up with the cleaning around the house. It was getting out of control. I couldn't handle it anymore. I cleaned the kitchen, the living room, the dining room, the upstairs bathroom, and our room. Not to mention I washed all of our bedding and vacuumed the entire house. Like I said, it was out of control. But I have a clean house now and it feels amazing.

It was a short weekend once again, but it was fun and productive. I am glad that I got all of the cleaning done around the house. And I am glad that Soccer is back. It is what fills the void that Football leaves behind. At least for a while anyways.

I hope you guys had a great weekend. Thanks for stopping by. Hope your Monday goes by quickly and without anything ridiculous happening.

Is It Football Season Yet?

I know it hasn't even been two months since that embarrassment of a game called the Superbowl, but I am already itching for the new season to start.

I seriously CAN NOT WAIT! And with free agency starting this past week, it has made my anticipation of the upcoming season even more on my mind.

Now there have been some great things that have happened and some not so great things to happen in these first few days of free agency. Let's start with the sad news. The Broncos cut Champ Bailey! Why??????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, I understand why. From a business stand point, I get it. But as a fan, I don't get it. He was the heart and soul of our team. I'm still crying sad about this one.

We also lost Eric Decker. This one sucks too, but I knew this was coming. Ultimately it came down to money and the Broncos couldn't offer him what he wanted. So instead of taking a pay cut and sticking with a team that could potentially get you to another Super Bowl, he signed with the Jets. Really? The Jets! The team where you go to let all your dreams die. Just ask Tim Tebow and Mark Sanchez. Just saying.

Let's get to the great news though. We signed three huge defensive players. And I mean huge!!! Welcome to the Broncos Aqib Talib, Demarcus Ware and T. J. Ward. Our defense was the one area that we needed an extreme amount of help in. And apparently John Elway and John Fox figured that out and aren't holding anything back.

I can't wait for the season to start! Hopefully the Broncos can keep making some great improvements on both Offense and Defense. I can't wait to see what this season brings! Is it August yet?

DIY Headboard Inspiration

Recently I have had this itch to do some updating to our bedroom. I go through this all the time. I get bored with the placement of the furniture or the color of our bedding. I like to change things up all the time. Is that so bad? Nah! I don't think so anyways.

Our master bedroom is one room where I am itching to change things up big time. We never really finished decorating our room since we have moved into our house, so I would really like to finish it. Ya know, get some pictures up on the wall, make it look like we actually live there. Stuff like that.

One piece that our room is really missing is a headboard. We have talked about buying a new bedroom set, but we can never really find anything that we like. Everything is too modern for our taste. We very much like the vintage look. Which is something that is very easy to create too.

So I of course went to Pinterest to find some vintage headboard inspiration. I mean duh! Where else would I go to look for DIY inspiration?!

I found quite a few different headboards that I absolutely loved. Some were completely outrageous as far as a DIY project is concerned, but others were definitely more attainable projects. Here are a few of those.

I absolutely love this one. I love the vintage look. And I love all of the frames on the top as additional decor. This one is probably the one that would be the easiest to make on my own. I would just have to find the right headboard.

This fireplace mantle as a headboard is absolutely gorgeous. If I can figure out how to do this, I would love to create something beautiful like this for our room. My only concern is whether or not I would be able to find an old fire place mantle big enough to be a headboard for a queen size bed. I am sure that I could figure out the rest though if I could find the mantle.

This last one is really cute and very simple. I could easily do this by finding these old windows at the Habitat for Humanity Restore. My only concern with this one is that it isn't really a headboard and would act more as piece of art. And I would worry about them falling on us and busting in the middle of the night. Our kitties after all love to try and knock things off the wall.

These headboards are all beautiful and gorgeous in their own vintage way, which is why I absolutely love them. I am hoping that I can find something that works for our space that I can turn into a beautiful vintage looking piece.

Weigh-In Wednesday

It is already Wednesday! This week is flying by. Thank goodness! Since it is Wednesday, it is time for this weeks Weigh-In Wednesday Post.

Not going to lie, this last week has not been a very good one. With having my wisdom teeth pulled last Thursday I wasn't able to eat a whole lot. The few things that I was able to eat were of course not the best for me either, i.e., Mac & Cheese. But when you are starving and can barely chew, you eat what you can.

Now that I have been able to chew a bit more, my eating has gotten back on track. Which is good because I felt so freaking guilty the whole time that I was eating all the stuff that I shouldn't have been. And now that I am getting back on track, I want to find some new recipes. I am getting bored with all the foods that I normally eat. I found this amazing website called skinnytaste.com that has all of these delicious low calorie recipes. And some of them are for desserts and some other delicious things that I can't really have anymore, so I am very anxious to try some of these recipes out.

A few months ago I mentioned that my friend KB and I wanted to start doing a cooking night once a month to try out new recipes. Well I am happy to announce that we are FINALLY doing one this weekend! And we are going to try one of the recipes that I found on skinnytaste.com. I can't wait to share with you guys how it turns out.

My workouts this week have been non-existent for the most part. I went to the gym last Wednesday, but I haven't been able to workout because of my stupid teeth. Who would have thought that it would take this freaking long for those suckers to heal. It's annoying as crap, I can tell you that much. I attempted going to Zumba last night, but my teeth started throbbing and I wasn't about to risk getting dry socket just because I wanted to workout. So after about 15 minutes, I left and went and just walked on the treadmill for half an hour. At least I did something I guess, but I am definitely looking forward to getting back to my regular routine of working out.

My weight as of this morning is 184.00. The exact same as it was last week. But ya know what, I will take it. For not being able to exercise for almost an entire week and not having a whole lot of control over what I was able to eat, I am just happy that I didn't gain any weight back. I call that a win. But you can bet your ass that I will be working extremely hard this week to get back on track with losing 2-3 lbs a week.

Thanks for stopping by and checking in. Happy Hump Day everyone!

Babies, Babies Everywhere!

It is the season of babies. Seriously! I know five people who are either pregnant and due soon or have already had their baby within the last week. It's crazy!

One person I know had her beautiful little girl on Friday. And then yesterday, one of my best friends, Victoria welcomed her beautiful little girl into the world too! I can't wait until lunch time today because I get to go meet her! And from all of the pictures that I have seen, she is absolutely adorable and has this super thick dark hair which I think is just so cute. Eeek! I can't wait til lunch time.

I am more anxious than ever for the arrival of one these babies in particular, my Nephew, Hunter. He isn't technically due until Friday, but I honestly don't know if I can wait that long. And if he hasn't come by then, they have scheduled for my SIL to be induced on the 18th. That is still seven whole days away. Aaaagghhh! I just don't know if I can handle the suspense anymore.

So Hunter, this is your favorite Aunt of all time telling you that it is time for you to make your entrance into this world. We can't wait anymore. And you are driving your Mom absolutely crazy. She just wants to hold you and not be uncomfortable anymore. And those sisters of yours are just absolutely going nuts because they want to meet you so badly. I know having three older sisters probably doesn't sound like the best thing in the world right now, but I promise you that they will be the best sisters ever. They will drive you nuts at times and probably try to dress you up in frilly things and make you play with dolls, but I promise you that they will love you more than anything in the world and will always have your back no matter what.

There's one more person who I think is more excited to meet you than anyone and that's your Dad. Don't let him fool you either, he may look all big and tough on the outside, but really he is just a big ol' softy. He has been looking forward to having a son for years and now that you are almost here, he is more excited than ever. He will be tough on you at times, but that doesn't mean that he doesn't love you. That is just how he is.

So Hunter, please come soon so that we can all meet you. We can't wait to hold you and love on you and just be excited that we are finally adding another person to this huge family of ours. I promise I will give you lots of candy and sweets and stuff too when you get older. No, I am not opposed to bribing you. I am your Aunt after all. It is my job to fill you up on sweets and then take you back home to your parents. It's in my job description as an Aunt.

So yeah, there's that. Like I said, babies are everywhere. And K over at Down at Fraggle Rock is getting close to having her little man too! And I am sooooo excited for her. I know she is getting anxious to meet him too. So all of you babies that haven't come into the world yet, hurry it up already! We are all soooooooo anxious/excited to meet you!

Weekend Recap

Well hello Monday. I would say that I am happy to see you, but that would make me a liar. And nobody likes a liar.

This weekend was well, not fun. It started on Thursday when I had all four of my wisdom teeth pulled and also had a dental implant done at the same time so I spent most of my weekend laying around with my mouth in pain.

Thursday morning the Hubby took me to my dental appointment and sat around and waited for me while they did my procedure. He then drove me home because I was completely out of it from the anesthesia. I remember them telling me that they were bringing in a wheel chair to take me down to the car, but I don't remember actually getting in the chair or the ride down to the car at all. I remember sitting outside the hospital and the guy asking me what color our car was and I told him silver, but I don't remember getting in the car, any of the ride home or even getting home and getting up the stairs and going into our room to lay down.

I do remember however once I was up in our room. I was sitting on the side of the bed and Aran was trying to give me my medication that I needed to take. I put it in my mouth and took a drink of water and my mouth was still so numb that the water just spilled all over the front of me and completely soaked me. And then I proceeded to cry like a little girl. Yeah, that happened. Haha! The rest of the day I spent sleeping. I woke up to take my medication and that was pretty much the extent of my day.

Friday was spent almost the same way as Thursday. I stayed in bed for most of the day. I got out for a little bit in the afternoon with my friend Victoria and her two little girls, but for the most part I laid in bed and watched Harry Potter and just relaxed.

Saturday we got up and took Louie to the groomers and then headed to the Egg & I to have breakfast. At this point I was really tired of not being able to eat real food. So I thought I might try some French Toast, so I asked our waitress if she thought it would be squishy enough to eat and I explained why I was asking and she looked at me and said, "Well, we do have oatmeal." I was ready to kill her. When all you have been able to eat for two straight days is pretty much a liquid/mush diet, the last thing you want someone to tell you is that they have oatmeal when you are asking about French Toast!

Needless to say I was in a grumpy mood the rest of our breakfast. I ended up getting a pancake which with enough syrup was squishy enough for me to eat. After breakfast we headed to Bed Bath & Beyond to pick up some new shelves for the bathroom and then it was off to shop for a new toilet for our upstairs bathroom. It was a very romantic morning. Just saying.

The rest of the day I spent laying down and sleeping. My mouth was really bothering me and laying down was really the only thing that helped.

Sunday I finally felt kind of like myself again. After sleeping in for a good portion of the morning, I decided to get up and try and get a few things done around the house. So I cleaned the living room and dining room up and then decided to head outside and soak up some of the beautiful sunshine that we had here in CO. I sat outside for a good hour and a half. It was so nice that I just couldn't fathom spending my time any other way.

After a while though I knew that I was probably getting sun burnt, so I came inside and did some more cleaning around the house. I also did massive amounts of laundry. Apparently it had been weeks since I had done any. Oops! After some more cleaning I ran out and did our grocery shopping for the week and also made a few other stops on my way home. The rest of the night I spent folding and putting away the rest of my laundry and tried to relax for the rest of the night.

It was a long weekend, but it definitely wasn't a fun one. I am so glad that I will never have to experience the whole wisdom teeth thing ever again.

How was your weekend?

Weigh-In Wednesday

Raise your hand if you just realized it was Wednesday and you haven't posted since last Thursday! *Slowly raises hand* Yep, that would be me. The sad part is that I didn't even realize that I hadn't posted since last week. Yikes!

Let's get on with it, shall we? It's time for Weigh-In Wednesday.

This week definitely has felt better than my previous weeks. I kept up with my eating healthy and clean and only missed one day at the gym which was Friday. I decided to take a break and go out with some friends. It was a much needed break.

I had a session on Monday with my personal trainer. Over the next few weeks he wants me to try and build more lean muscle to help burn extra calories. In order to do this I need to be consuming extra protein and I have to up my weights but decrease my sets. So that is the game plan for the next couple of weeks.

My weight as of this morning was 184.00, I am down 2.2 lbs since last week's WIW post. Although it isn't the 3 lbs a week that I was losing, I am staying pretty consistent with 2 lbs a week and I am not going to complain. That is still awesome. And hopefully I can keep up with that.

This week is going to be kind of rough with working out and eating. Tomorrow morning at 8:45 am, I am going in to have all four of my wisdom teeth pulled and I am also having my dental implant done. So eating anything that isn't pretty much liquid is going to be out of the question for the rest of the week. I prepared myself for this though when I went grocery shopping. I got lots of yogurt and applesauce and good for me soups. I also bought some smoothie mixes and am going to eat those with a spoon, no straw for this girl for a while. Don't want to get that dry socket. But at least this way I will still be getting lots of fruits and veggies.

And working out will be interesting. I am not sure how much I am going to be limited, but I am going to try my hardest to try and get some exercise in, even if it is just walking on the treadmill.

That is all that I have for you in regards to Weigh-In Wednesday.

Real quick, I want to say Happy Birthday to my best friend in the entire world, Lou! You are the most amazing friend that any girl could ever ask for. I don't know what I would do without you. We have been through so many things together and have always come out of them together. You will always be the Wayne to my Garth and I can't wait to see what other memories we make throughout our life. Love you Lou! Happy Birthday!
