Pumpkin Spice is Back???!!!!!

One of my favorite parts about this time of year is the Pumpkin Spice drink at Starbucks. And I have been waiting and waiting and waiting for Starbucks to announce the release date. So finally I just searched it on the internet and found this website that gave me a firm date and a little extra surprise!

Source
I found a firm release date of September 3rd! September 3rd people!!! That is only five days away!!! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagggggggghhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But, on this site she also posted about how this year is the 10th anniversary of the Pumpkin Spice drink at Starbucks. And because of this you are supposed to be able to go into Starbucks and give them the code PSL 10 and unlock the drink early!! Starbucks themselves even confirmed this via this wall post.

If you click this link, you can open the actual Facebook post which was posted on August 28th.
I am so trying this today at lunch. I think I may call ahead though. It seems from the Facebook post that not everyone has had luck doing this and not all stores are aware of this. And some stores don't have the actual syrups for it yet. But, I think it is worth a shot! I mean, I could possibly get a Pumpkin Spice today!!!

I felt that it was only fair that I share this with the rest of you. Let me know if you try it and get your Pumpkin Spice early!

Oh The Questions

***Disclaimer! This post is in no way directed towards any one person in particular. It is just a general observation/plea!***

As a 25 year old women who has been married for almost a year and nine months,  you can imagine that we get asked about when we are going to be having kids ALL THE TIME!

This is the absolute truth!
And every time we get asked this, I kind of want to scream. I get that everyone's situations are different and some people want kids right away. And more power to those people. If you know that that is what you want, then that is great. But that isn't what we want. Not right now anyway.

At this point in our marriage, we are enjoying being married. We are enjoying each others company. We like the fact that we can just decide to go do something on a whim and not have to worry about having to take care of a kid at the same time or trying to find a babysitter. We like that we can each go spend time with our friends and not have to decide who is staying home with the baby. And we like that we can take vacations together and just get away and spend some quality time. And for right now, we like it that way.

At some point in the future we will decided when the time is right for us. Whether that be a year from now or three years from now, that is our decision. But until then, just relax people. I promise we will tell you when that time comes and it is right for us. But until then, please just let us breathe a little and let us live our lives as a happily married couple.

Weekend Recap

Good morning everyone! It's Monday which means back to the grind and time for my weekend recap.

Friday after work, one of my friends from work and my family headed down to the Colorado State Fair. We went to watch the Rodeo and see the Randy Houser concert afterwards. The Rodeo was pretty good. The riding event guys were having issues staying on though, so that was kind of a bummer.

After the Rodeo, we went out into the arena to watch Randy Houser. I saw him at Country Jam and although I like his music, I am not sure that I am a fan. He just doesn't get the crowd going very much. And now seeing him for a second time, I am convinced that it is him. But it was still fun to watch the show with my friends and family.

After the concert was over, we headed over to the area of the fair that had all the games and food. We spent most of our time watching my Nieces play games or go on rides. It was fun to watch them having so much fun.  And my oldest Niece Makenzi even won a prize for me. She successfully got a ping pong ball into a colored dish, so she got to pick out a Minion from Despicable Me for me. It was so cute. My Minion is currently on my shelf in my office.

It was a fun night. It was a late night, but it was fun. It was great getting to spend some time with my family and friends.

Saturday morning the Hubby and I were up early to take our Louie dog to the groomers. He needed a hair cut so badly. So we took him to the groomers and dropped him off, and then I made the Hubby take me out to breakfast. I mean it was a freaking miracle that he was even awake so early, so I took full advantage of it.

After breakfast we ran a few errands. We went and picked up our tickets for the ball game that night. And then we went to Home Depot to get the rest of the paint to finish painting our patio furniture. Shortly after we ran our errands and then headed home, I got a call that Louie was ready to be picked up, so I headed over to go get him. He looked so handsome after having his hair cut.

After picking up Louie, I spent the rest of my afternoon spray painting patio furniture. I will show you guys the final results of that in a post later this week. After spray painting all afternoon, it was time to get ready to head to the baseball game. It was Sky Fest at the minor league baseball teams game on Saturday. Sky Fest always has a theme and is always the biggest fireworks show of the year. This years theme was Star Trek, so not only was my hubby geeking out, so were a few of our friends, so we all headed to the game together.

It was a good game. They Sky Sox won and the fireworks show was amazing. And the little Star Trek story line they had put together was cute, but in my opinion was kind of boring too, haha! Sorry to you Star Trek fans out there, but I really didn't get what was going on most of the time. But the Hubby and our friends seemed to enjoy it.

After the game and the fireworks were over, we headed home and watched the Broncos game and then headed to bed. It was another great night spent with great friends.

Sunday morning  I got up and immediately got to work on finishing the patio furniture. It only needed a few more coats, so I was happy that I finally completed that. I also went grocery shopping, picked us up some lunch and then picked up the house a bit too. I was trying to keep myself busy so that the time would hopefully go by quickly until the VMA's came on at 7.

I am not usually one for the VMA's but when I heard that Justin Timberlake was performing and that an *NSync reunion was possibly going down, I HAD to watch! And I am glad that I did. I hated sitting through the rest of it, but once Justin took the stage, it made it all worth it.

Source
And just when I thought it couldn't get any better, *NSync reunited on stage and I was once again my 10 year old self, screaming and squealing at the TV while sitting on my couch. In between the screams and squeals, I was singing along at the top of my lungs.

Source
Seeing them back onstage together completely made my night. Heck, my month! And even though I know the chances of them actually getting back together and having a reunion tour are very slim, it still made me excited to see them together on that stage again. And when Justin accepted his award, I thought it was very cool that he acknowledged his fellow band mates and thanked them for helping his career get to where it is now! It was such a great performance by everyone involved and I am just glad that I decided to watch it!

After the VMA's it was time for bed, because well, I had to come to work this morning. But it was a great weekend and as I was falling asleep I just kept thinking about all the great times I had with my family and friends. And how I can't wait til next weekend. Not only is it a three day weekend because of the Holiday, but a certain little Niece of mine is turning 1! And somebody might be coming into town and I can not contain my excitement!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope that you all had a great weekend. And I hope this week flies by so that we can all enjoy a three day weekend!

Rain, Hail & Flooding! Oh My!

Around 7 pm last night, I was finishing up my Zumba class at the gym when I looked out the door to see that it was raining. And I mean pouring. Buckets! So I gathered all of my stuff up after class and booked it out of the gym and to my car hoping that if I ran fast enough that I wouldn't get completely drenched. Yeah, no such luck. Once I was in my car, this is what it looked like.

I started to head home from the gym and quickly realized it was not going to be an easy drive. It was raining so hard and with so much intensity that the streets were starting to flood. So I decided to go a different way home, which still proved to be very difficult (I almost got stock in a few spots) but I got home in one piece and my car wasn't carried away by water or stuck in a huge pool of water.

When I got home, we had a small river running down our street along with hail piled up against our house. The first thing I noticed once I actually pulled into the driveway is that our flag was missing. So after I got in the garage and parked, I got out of the car and started looking for it. The wind and rain had been so bad, that it actually bent the flag pole and it broke off and was laying on the side of our house. Not only did the bad weather kill our flag, but it killed my flowers and shredded my beautiful tree! I was really sad when I saw how awful my tree looked this morning.

We however were very lucky! There were a lot of other places in town that weren't as lucky and they had roads completely wash out, along with bad flooding and a ton of other stuff. So in comparison to the rest of our town, we got off pretty easy.

I don't want to say that I am tired of the rain because we definitely still need it, but I just wish it wouldn't be so destructive. We apparently can not have a happy medium for our weather here. It is either so hot that the state is on fire, or it is raining so much that we have flash flooding everywhere. Again, no happy medium.

We are supposed to get some more rain today, but hopefully it won't be as bad. Fingers crossed! Especially since this girl is going to the State Fair to see the rodeo and a concert tonight! I would really appreciate it not raining on my fair, ha!

Happy Friday everyone! And I hope that you have a great weekend!

Jury Duty

Hello Thursday!! And hello lovelies!!

I wish that I had an actual post for you guys today, but instead I am sitting in the waiting room for Jury Duty. Yay! I mean, I know you are super jealous of me right now. Right?

Lets just hope that I don't actually get selected. Yikes! That would not be fun. But at the same time, if I was selected, my name would be taken out of the juror pool which I believe means that my name would have no chance of getting called for the Aurora theatre shooting case. Yeah, I have been dreading/stressing about that since they announced that they are getting ready to send out over 5000 jury summons for that case.

Anywho, that's all I have for you guys today. Hope you guys are having a great Thursday!

Weigh In Wednesday

Happy Hump Day!! Insert Geico Camel Commerical here! Haha!

It's time for another weigh in Wednesday.

Bad news first I guess. The whole not eating bread thing isn't going very well. Considering that I had Subway for dinner last night, which really isn't horrible for you, but still. It was bread. So yeah, there's that.

Goodish news I guess is that I am at the same weight as I was last week. I mean it's not great news, but it is better than being up, right?

The great news is that I have been working out!! Say what?! I went to Zumba all last week, and have already been once this week. And I feel so much better after going each day too! Now if I could just get my butt to workout on the days that I don't have Zumba, I would be golden!

And I am doing better about tracking my food in My Fitness Pal. Not 100% of the time, but getting better with each day. I need to be better about tracking even if I eat something bad. I tend to not track at all when I know that I have eaten something I shouldn't have. It's that damn conscious of mine telling me that I did something wrong and I know it. I should just listen to it more often. Ugh!

Okay, I have a few new goals for myself to go along with the few that I have been trying to accomplish. One of my new goals is to be below 209 by the time I go to Hawaii at the end of September. Which is exactly a month from today. So I need to lose about 6 lbs to meet that goal. That is very attainable if I bust my ass and actually get to the gym. AND do better about what I am eating. I can workout all I want, but if I can't be good about what I am eating, than it doesn't even matter.

Okay, I think that is enough for today. I know what I need to do. I just need to actually do it and quit making excuses. No more excuses! And with that I leave you with some fitness inspiration I found on Pinterest!

Bahahaha! Yes! Absolutely!

Weekend Shenanigans

Shenanigans is a fun word. Just saying! Sorry once again for the delay on my weekend post. Work yesterday was crazy and I wasn't feeling well so I ended up going home early and sleeping for most of the afternoon/evening. But, I am definitely feeling better today and ready to get back to business.

This past weekend was once again fun filled. Friday Night and Saturday morning I spent my time at my friend Megan's house. She was having a garage sale on Saturday, so Friday night we spent time arranging everything and pricing everything out. Saturday I headed over there to just hang out and help out with things.

Saturday afternoon, my SIL brought my two older Nieces over and dropped them off. We then headed up to Denver for the Colorado Rapids game. My Nieces had these vouchers for free tickets that they got through their summer reading program at the Library, so I only had to pay for my ticket, which was a great deal. So I took them up for their first soccer game.

Even though they seemed to be more interested in their food, particularly their snow cones, they did still have fun. And what was even better was that the Rapids won 2-0!!! And probably the funniest part of the night was when Kelsi (on the bottom right in the above picture) noticed that the other teams goalie was wearing all pink and said, "Aunt Megan, look! There's a girl out there playing!" Hahahahaha! I died!

After the game was over, we headed back home. We didn't get back home until about 11, so when we pulled into the garage, both girls had been passed out for a while. So I woke them up, got them in the house, got them in their PJ's and put them to bed.

The next morning I hear a little voice saying "Aunt Megan!!" and I open my eyes to see that MaKenzi is standing next to my bed, trying to wake me up. It was 7:45. So much for sleeping in, ha! So I got up, got them some breakfast and then we watched TV for a few hours before I took them home.

After I dropped them off, I went back home and picked up Aran and then we did some running around and then headed back home. We also started working on re-painting our patio furniture, but didn't get very far because of 1) the rain and 2) we ran out of paint. So I have to go buy more paint this weekend so that we can hopefully finish everything up.

It was a good weekend. Busy once again, but fun! How was your weekend?

Dr. Seuss Onesie Cake

I was going to post about this yesterday, but seeing how USPS sucks and Lou didn't receive her gift until last night, I didn't want to post about it and spill the beans. But now that she has it in hand, I can finally share with all of you, the onesie cake that I made for her.

Typically for Baby Showers, I like to make diaper cakes, but since Lou was going with cloth diapers for all of their diapering needs, I had to come up with something else. So after racking my brain, I decided to use onesies, bibs, washcloths and any other type of clothing or necessary baby products that would roll up to make a Dr. Seuss themed cake.

Once I found everything that I wanted for that part of the cake, I had to come up with a way to assemble it so that it would make it in one piece on the trip to Hawaii. So I did what I usually do when I am in this situation, I went to Hobby Lobby. I wandered around for a little bit and then found these paper mache/cardboard boxes. They look like hat boxes essentially, but they were the right shape and they had varying sizes.

Once I had those picked out, I had to decide how I wanted to decorate them. I could have gone full blown Dr. Seuss or I could decorate them so that they would match the nursery decor (Wonder Woman Theme) that they had picked out. So I decided to make them multi-functional and decorate the outside of the boxes to match the nursery decor. So then I picked out some patriotic looking scrapbook paper, grabbed some Mod Podge , some paint brushes and some sparkly gold tulle and headed home.

First I covered the bottom of the boxes with the paper using the Mod Podge and a paint brush. And then I covered the lids of the boxes with the sparkly gold tulle and topped it with a sparkly star.

After I had this done, I started assembling the cake. I took the lids from the boxes and used those as the base of each tier of the cake. I arranged all the onesies, bibs, leggings, wash cloths and anything else I could find that would be useful and started assembling each tier until I had it full enough that it looked like an actual cake tier.

Once I had the tiers assembled, it was time to start decorating. I found all kinds of Dr. Seuss cutouts and borders in the $1 section at Target, so I started with those and put a border on each tier. I also used some of the cutouts that I found and placed them on little skewer sticks. And then to add just a little bit more, I tied ribbon around each tier. A few months back, I found these adorable Truffula Tree Ribbons from a couple of sellers on Etsy, so I had to tie them in somehow.

This cake turned out better than I had anticipated. I was so excited and proud of how it all turned out. And I knew that Lou would not only love it, but find its contents very useful. And not to mention the dual functionality of the boxes that I sent along with it. It all came together so well. And I was so excited to hear last night that Lou loved it as much as I thought she would. It definitely made all of the work I put into it more than worth it.

Weigh In Wednesday

Happy Hump Day everyone! It's time for Weigh In Wednesday, my way of holding myself accountable. So let's just get right to it.

I finally took measurements this morning and then compared them to the last measurements that I could find, which were taken on June 6th, so a little over two months later and here is the damage that was done.

It isn't horrible, but still makes me mad enough that I even stopped keeping up with things. It's annoying. I was doing so well and then Bam! Flat on my face. But at the same time, I did somehow manage to lose some more inches in my legs and arms!! So I guess I will take some good with the bad. I am slowly getting back on track and I am determined to lose those few little inches that I gained back. And those few lbs. Ugh!

I didn't quite achieve the goals that I set forth for myself, but I did make progress on them. I am doing better about the no bread thing. I haven't had bread since Friday. So five days going strong. And I haven't had potatoes since Friday too. So that is definitely an improvement. And as far as cutting back on the sugary drinks at Starbucks, I haven't had Starbucks since last Friday too! So, I am definitely doing better than I have been. I mean five days without Starbucks? Whoa! That is a feat in itself!

And my goal of working out more is probably the one that I have done the best with. I got my butt out of bed early on Saturday morning and managed to get to my Zumba class. And I felt amazing afterwards. I had so much energy and I felt like I got so much done that day. And even though I haven't gone on my 3 mile walk in a while (it has been raining like crazy here), I still have managed to keep myself moving more instead of just sitting on the couch. And I went to Zumba last night as well and plan on either walking or going to the gym tonight.

Goals for this upcoming week? I think I am going to just stick with the same goals. I didn't do very well at accomplishing them, so I want to try harder this week and see what kind of difference it makes. So yeah!

I am hoping to have some better results to share next week. Even if there is no change on the scale, I would still like to be able report that I accomplished my goals for the week. Anything positive at this point is good, right?

Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great day everyone!

Online Baby Shower

Saturday, August 10th had finally arrived. The day that myself and Lou's two sisters had been planning for months. Lou's online baby shower was finally here. You know, the one that I made the Dr. Seuss invitations for? Yeah, that one!

There was one small problem though. The package that I sent that not only had my gifts but also had the shower decorations in it, didn't show up. And as of yesterday, it still hasn't (damn you USPS and taking forever getting things to Hawaii). So the night before the shower, Lou and I were doing a practice chat and I showed her the pictures of the decorations that she would have had, had her package showed up.

I made this Dr. Seuss themed Congrats banner using the digital kits I got. I cut out the letters using my circle cutter again and then attached them to the flags and then attached the flags to ribbon.

Do you like how my kitty photobombed this picture?
I also made a Truffula Tree "It's A Girl!" Banner. Again I used the digital kits that I bought to create the images and then I used my circle cutter to cut them out and then again just attached them to ribbon.

Around 4 pm, once everyone was ready to go, we all hopped onto Google Hangouts to get the festivities going. Aside from my computer completely flipping shit about 30 minutes in, everything went pretty well.

We started off the shower by playing "Guess How Big Lou's Belly Is?" game. I won that one! I was within two inches of her actual measurement and I was even on the low side of it. I am sure she appreciated that.

After we were done with the first game, it was time for them to open the gifts that did show up on time. They got lots of great things from their friends and family. Everybody was so generous and I know that Lou and her Husband appreciated all of it so much!

Lou and her Husband on the left. And them opening their gifts on the right.
They have decided on a Wonder Woman theme for their little girls room decor.
After the gifts were all opened, we played one more game. We played, Guess the Celebrity where I showed them a picture of a baby and they had to guess which Celebrity that baby turned out to be. We had 13 celebrities in total. It was definitely fun to see everyone's guesses and see who got the most right. The winner of this game was Vero with eight correct guesses!!

This was my favorite of the celebrities that I picked, haha!
After the game was over, we all chatted for a little bit longer and then one by one we all started to sign off. It was a fun filled two hours of showering Lou and her Hubby and their soon to be here little one. And it was great getting to see all of her friends and family. I wish we could have done the shower in person, but this was a great substitute and I know that Lou and her Husband really appreciated all the hard work we put into it.

Weekend Recap

Hey guys! I hope your weekend was awesome.

My weekend started last Thursday night, but didn't start out too great. Thursday at lunch I had to run a few errands and when I was leaving from one place to go to another, my car wouldn't start. So I called my co-worker to see if she could come pick me up and then I called emergency road side service to get my car towed.

Later on that day I had my co-worker take me back to my car to meet the tow truck driver to give him my keys. When we got there I decided to try and start my car. Well it started right up. So then when the tow truck got there, I told him that it started, but I still wanted it towed to my Brothers house because something was still wrong. But he didn't listen to me and he told me that he was a mechanic and that he wanted to check my battery and everything. So he looked at my battery which had some corrosion on it and told me to buy a coke and pour it over it. Well the car started again after this. No shit! It started before you did that too so obviously it's not that. But again, this guy didn't listen to me. He told me that I shouldn't waste one of my tows.

I was done dealing with this guy at this point, so I said whatever and got in my car and went back to work. It started just fine when I left work on Thursday night, so I just went home and parked it for the rest of the night. We spent the remained of our Thursday night watching the Broncos first pre-season game and having dinner. I am so excited that football is back. It means that Fall is right around the corner which means that cute coats, hats, scarves, and falling leaves are coming soon and most importantly that Pumpkin Spice will be back at Starbucks soon! Priorities people!

I took Friday off of work so that I could sleep in a little bit and run some errands. Well I was out running some more errands and my car wouldn't start again. I was on the phone with my Mom at the time so she told me to try pumping my clutch a few times and then try starting it. Well this seemed to work. So we think that it might be my clutch switch, but my Brother has yet to verify that, so until then, let's just keep our fingers crossed that my car keeps starting.

Friday night we spent at home doing pretty much nothing. We did go to Best Buy where I bought Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory on Blu-Ray for $8!!! I was pretty excited about this purchase. Then we went to iTopIt and had some frozen yogurt and then made a quick stop at Kohl's where I found some awesome curtains on sale for $16 a panel. We now have new curtains in our living room, but did I remember to take a picture? Of course not!

Saturday we got up and had breakfast and then headed to the gym. I went to my Zumba class while Aran just did his own workout. Afterwards we ran a few more errands and then headed home so that I could get things ready for Lou's online baby shower.

The baby shower went pretty well. We had a few glitches here and there with our computers, but more on that in posts later this week.

After the shower, I went out dancing with my friend Megan and her Mom and Sister at this little hole in the wall bar called the Mill Hill. It's a more low key country bar that doesn't charge a cover and it isn't a club scene like the other country bar in town. Megan taught me how to two step and we came up with an idea for flash cards that every group of women should carry when going out. A green flash card means everything is good. A red flash card means save me! Haha! We had a good time and potentially found her sister a new boyfriend, haha!

Sunday we slept in again. Neither the Hubby or myself or our dog wanted to get out of bed. But we eventually had to. We got some breakfast and then cleaned up the house. Then it was outside to mow the lawns and kill some weeds! Just as we were finishing all of that up, Aran's parents showed up with the rest of our patio set that they gave us. And once again, I didn't take pictures of the patio set, but I will once I am done re-painting it and get some new cushions for it.

After Aran's parents left, I headed to the grocery store and did our shopping for the week. Once I got back home I did all of our food prep for the week. I made my breakfast cups for the week. I cut up a bunch of cantaloupe. And I got all of our stuff measured and portioned out for our lunches and snacks for the rest of the week! I felt very accomplished after all of this, haha! And not only that but it made getting everything ready this morning very easy!

After getting all of our food ready for the week, I made us dinner and then we sat down and watched Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince before I had to leave to head downtown for the Rapids watch party. They were playing Chivas USA so the game didn't start until 9 here, but we wanted to go down and watch the game anyways.

Well it was a complete shit show of a game. I am completely convinced that the Rapids head coach has no freaking clue what he is doing when he puts his line up together and when he decides to put subs in. For instance, why would you leave one of your best defenders on the bench? And after the opposing team scores within the first seven minutes of the game and your defense sucks almost the entire first half, why wouldn't you put someone else in? It was such a frustrating and entertaining game to watch. Especially considering there were three red cards in this game. That's insane. Luckily the Rapids scored within the last ten minutes to end the game in a tie.

After the game I headed home where I proceeded to hit the pillow on my bed and not look back. It had been a long weekend, but it was once again fun. But since it is Monday, it's back to the grind. Oh joy! I hope you guys had a great weekend and again, sorry for no pictures. Have a great Monday everyone!

Blog Planning

Happy Thursday everyone! Or as I like to call it this week, my Friday!!!

I have been in kind of a blogging funk. I haven't had a lot of extra time to blog and when I do, I have a really hard time figuring out what to blog about. Well, I think I have found something that will help me with this funk that I have been in.

I was on Pinterest the other day, wasting some time of course, and I found a pin about planning blogs.

Source
The pin had a link to a blog called House of Rose, where she shared some adorable blog planning templates. So of course I had to check them out.

And these templates are adorable!!! The girl/organizational freak in me is absolutely in love with these. Not only are they cute, bright and fun, but very functional and seem like a great idea.

Source
One of the templates could only be accessed through a website called scribd.com. And this is a website that you have to pay for, BUT they do have a free seven day trial where you can access everything, so I was able to go in and download the PDF (and save it for future use) of this particular template.

Source
I also happened to stumble across a couple of other really cute and fun templates while I was on this website. So of course I downloaded and printed these out as well.
Source

Source

After finding these templates, I think that I am now very well equipped and can hopefully sit down and come up with some blogs for you guys to read. I mean if the templates themselves can inspire a whole post, who knows what actually using them can do!

Weigh In Wednesdays

Happy Hump Day everyone! I am sad to report that the Bringing Sexy Back Fitness link up is dead. I know, I know! It sucks! But believe it or not, running a link up every week is hard work. And when things like life get in the way, it's hard to keep up with it. So after discussing it, K and I decided it would just be best to be done with it.

With that being said, I am still going to be holding myself accountable every Wednesday. I know there are various Weigh in Wednesday link ups around this little blog world, so if you know of any, please feel free to tell me about them in the comments so that I can start linking up! I have looked for a few, but for some reason now that I am looking for them, I can't find them. Go figure!

So for those of you who may have forgotten or just don't know my story, I have always struggled with my weight. Always! This has been a battle my entire life. I'm up, I'm down. I'm working out, I'm being lazy. Whatever the case, it has always been an issue.

But I am tired of letting my weight dictate how I feel about myself. I am ready to quit struggling. I want to kick this weights ass and win the struggle. So that's where this little blog of mine comes in handy. Every Wednesday I will be here telling you about how my week went. Whether that be bad or good, gain or loss, I will be here to keep myself accountable. And if people happen to read it and leave encouragement, awesome! Or if they read it and say nasty things about the way I look and blah, blah, blah, you can bite me! Okay, I am only kidding about the last part. Kinda.

Anywho, today is a new day and I am ready to let you know how I did this past week. Can you say awful? Yeah, it was bad. I have been on a Subway kick lately which means lots of bread, so you can imagine that the scale didn't like me this morning. And I worked out maybe twice last week. Ugh! For some reason I just haven't been in the working out mood. But that needs to change.

I need to get back to being on a schedule. I need to get back to logging my food so that I am staying on track. My Fitness Pal is great for that, if I remember to actually put my meals in there. I have done better with that the last few days. So hopefully I can keep that progress up.

I have also set a few goals for myself for the next week. Nothing too difficult, but if I can achieve them, I think I will be better off and on my way to being on a schedule again. First, my ass needs to get back to the gym. Whether that be going to Zumba or just going and doing my own workout, it just needs to happen. And the fact that I am spending $20 a month on a gym membership and not using it, that needs to stop. It's just a waste of money, so yeah, that needs to be fixed.

My second goal is to quit eating bread and potatoes again. I was doing so well with this for the longest time and then I got derailed. So I am going to try my hardest to not eat bread or potatoes. And I need to lay off of the sugary stuff, like Starbucks! Starbucks needs to be a once in a while reward type thing instead of a whenever I want it type of thing.

I think if I can keep up with those goals, I will definitely be on my way to being back on track. Something else that might help is that the Hubby and I have implemented a reward system. At the beginning of each week we both decide how much we want to accomplish and if we meet that for the week, then we get something of our choosing. For me I am in need of some new workout pants. Because I have already lost some weight, my Nike Dri-fit pants are not fitting anymore, so that is my reward for next week if I reach my goals.

I can do this. I know I can. I have done it before and I will do it again. I am going to kick this weights ass!

Belated Weekend Recap

Hey guys! Sorry that this recap is a day late. I have been super lazy about writing my blog posts at home and with work being crazy, I didn't have a chance to do it at work yesterday. Sorry about that. I have a plan on how to get back on track with blogging, but I will share more on that subject later this week.

Onto my weekend recap. This weekend was once again jam packed. Friday night I spent babysitting my adorable Nieces! We went and got food and then came back to their house and watched TV for most of the night. And of course Miss Rylei(the youngest) was kind of cranky and would not let me put her down or sit down with her. The only thing that would calm her down was putting her in her stroller and pushing her around the house. So that's what I did. I finally got her and the other two to fall asleep and then my Brother and my SIL showed back up. And then I headed home and went to bed.

Saturday I woke up and did a few things around the house. Cleaned up a bit, painted my nails, watched some Bones on Netflix. Ya know, the usual for me. Then after all that morning fun, I got ready to head out to the Colorado Rapids game with my friends.

It was a BIG game. They were playing Real Salt Lake in their final game of the Rocky Mountain Cup series and the Rapids only needed to tie or win to bring the Rocky Mountain Cup back to Colorado. So it was a very nerve wracking and intense game.

About 20 minutes into the game, they had to stop play because of lightning in the area. About an hour later and after sitting in the pouring down rain, they finally resumed play. They played the rest of the first half in the pouring rain. During halftime we decided to go up underneath the concourse at the stadium and good thing we did because it started pouring even more. But eventually we had to go back out because the second half was getting ready to start.

The approaching storms and sitting in the rain!
It rained through most of the second half, but we didn't care because the Rapids ended up coming back to tie the game. And since the game ended in a tie, the Rapids won the Rocky Mountain Cup!!!!!!!!!!!

It was such a great game and I was so excited that I got to be there. Thanks again to my friends for getting me tickets! You guys rock!

After the game we went to get some food. It was pretty late so we went to Famous Daves because we knew they would still be open. It was delicious!!

Sunday we slept in, which was nice. I was exhausted after two late nights in a row. Once we started getting around, we headed down to my friends house to pick up their truck so that we could head up to my Aunts and the In Laws house to pick up a few things.

At my Aunts, we picked up our new to us queen size bed!!!!!!!!!!! I can't tell you how excited I am about this. It's crazy how much more room I have to sleep now! When you go from a full to a queen, you notice the difference. Let's just say that I have slept very very well the last few nights!

At the Hubby's parents house we picked up our new to us patio set. Aran's parents bought a new set recently, so they gave their old set to us. So I have a project for this weekend. I am going to be painting the patio set with that rustoleum stuff. Well, that's if I have time between a baby shower and possibly going out dancing. And if it isn't raining.

Anywho, after we picked up the patio set we headed back home. I am very proud to say that I drove the truck the whole time. I always worry about driving something bigger than a car. But I did a good job, which makes me think that when I get my new vehicle that I will do just fine driving it.

So that was our weekend. Busy once again, but lots of fun.

I promise that I am going to try and quit being so lazy and get some posts up this week. Have a great Tuesday everyone!
