A Personal Trainer and A Week of Frustration

First, I want to tell everyone the good news. Aran and I decided to sign up for a personal trainer. They gave us a killer deal and it was something that we could both afford so we jumped on it. We have our first session tomorrow with our trainer whose name is Sandy. And apparently this guy is pretty legit. He used to work in L.A. with tons of celebrities. They dropped names like Beyonce and Ja Rule yesterday when they were telling us about him. I don't know that this is completely true, but I did look the guy up today and he is pretty well known. Crazy right?!! We will each get two sessions a month with this guy and we will also be sent four workouts a month for us to do when we are not with them. It is an awesome deal and I am really hoping that I will start to see some results.

Now onto my week of frustration, or shall I say WEEKS. I was put in charge of doing our 1099's for the company this year. Well, I have only been at this job since August and the accounting program that we use has never been used to create the 1099's. The lady that used to do it no longer works here and she apparently used a different program to do this. Well, we have had nothing but problems with it since we started trying to do this. We eventually figured it out and sent them off to the recipients and the IRS. Well about two weeks ago I came into work to find out that the IRS did not accept the ones that we sent them because they were not scan-able.  So we went to trying to create an electronic file that we could upload to their website. Well, needless to say, that isn't working either. They have been working on it for two weeks now and thought they had finally figured. They did the update and whatever else they were supposed to do to fix this problem. Or so we thought.

Every time I run the program to create the files, it does something different and messes something else up. I am getting really frustrated and pissed off. My head hurts so bad today from having to think about what I could be doing wrong. I don't think that it is me. I think it is this crappy ass system that we have. We are constantly having problems with it and I think it creates more problems than it is worth. What a pain in the ass. Sorry that I am ranting, but I have been dealing with this for two weeks and nothing that we do seems to be working.

Well, that is all that I am going to say about that. I hope that you guys are having a better week at work than I am. Thanks for reading my rants!

Wee Bit of Me Wednesday

Time for Wee Bit of Me Wednesday over at Leigh Ashley. If you would like to join in, you can do so here and don't forget to link up so that you can share your post with others!

{one} have you ever been stuck in an elevator?
No, and I am thankful for that. I have a feeling that I would have a panic attack.

{two} have you ever ridden on an elephant?
No, but I think it would be really fun and scary at the same time.

{three} have you ever met a well known celebrity?
Yes, I have. I have met three country music stars. Joe Nichols, Justin Moore and Chuck Wicks. I love my job for that reason!

{four} do you have any food allergies?
Nope, and I am very thankful for that too!

{five} do you know how to sew?
Yes and no. I know how to do the basics, but anything beyond that, I am lost.

{six} did you get an allowance when you were young?
Yeah, like $20 a month for doing the dishes and picking up.

{seven} how often do you fill up your gas tank?
About every two weeks depending on my activities

{eight} have you ever been stung by a jelly fish?
Nope!

{nine} have you ever been robbed?
Yes, my house was broken into when I was five and they stole a lot of our electronics and some of our Christmas gifts that were under our tree. What horrible people!

{ten} what is the worst haircut you’ve ever had?
Oh my gosh, when I was a Junior in High School. I let my then boyfriend's sister cut and die my hair because she had gone through cosmetology school. Let's just say that I cried for a few days because it was so short and thin and the highlights looked horrible. Never again!

Here are pictures of me and the celebrities that I have met. Enjoy!

I can't seem to find the one with Justin Moore, but if I do, I will make sure to put it up here! Have a good day everyone!

Royal Wedding Week

I have been seeing a lot of posts from people about Royal Wedding Week and can I just say that I am just as excited about it as a lot of people are. TLC has their own Royal Wedding Week going on and they have had like a bazillion shows on about the Royal Family and I have recorded almost all of them. Aran is getting a little annoyed with me because of it, but he can deal with it, haha! I haven't had a chance to watch them yet, but they all looked so good that I couldn't refuse the opportunity to DVR them and watch them later. And I have already set the Royal Wedding to record here at 3 a.m. I am not going to get up and watch it however, because I have to be at work at 8 a.m. and I don't think that my body would agree with me about getting up that early and then still having to work for eight hours. Lacey is probably going to come over after I get off work and we will watch it together. Even though I have a feeling that we will both see lots of coverage throughout the day that will spoil some of it for us. Oh well!

I think this whole obsession started a few weeks ago when Lacey and I watched the Lifetime movie "William & Kate." The acting in the movie was pretty horrible, but I was more interested in the story of them than anything. After watching that, I started wanting to see more. Lacey and I have been talking about it a lot lately and have been reading more and more online. We were trying to find the guest list on Sunday because there were reports saying that it had been released. I eventually found one that had all of the confirmed guests on it, but it was mostly Royalty and politicians.

Probably just like every other girl that is excited about this wedding, I am most looking forward to seeing Kate's dress. I mean I am a girl first of all and that stuff is a big deal to us and second, I just bought my own wedding dress so I love seeing what others bought for their big day. I am hoping that she is going to follow in the foot steps of other Royal family brides and have something huge and poofy. I love big dresses and I think they really do make girls look like princesses and that is part of the reason that I love mine so much!

I was listening to one of our local radio stations this morning and they were talking about how people are placing huge bets on things that will happen during the wedding. For instance they said that there are bets being placed on what Will and Kate's first dance will be to, and what color will her dress be: white or ivory? Another bet that is being placed that I thought was just hilarious is who will be the first guest to arrive? The things that people bet are just crazy to me and especially something like this.

Well, it is time to get back to work I guess, haha! I hope you guys enjoy Royal Wedding Week as much as I will! Have a good Tuesday!

Easter Weekend and The Start of a New Program

First, I want to apologize AGAIN for being such a horrible blogger. I have not been blogging as much as I should so I wanted to say sorry! It has been pretty crazy around here lately. With Easter and all of the church things that I have had to attend, my time has gone out the window. Not only that, but we have been hitting the gym 3 days a week and I have been walking two afternoons a week with a really good friend of mine so like I said, my time is being consumed, but I am going to try and keep up a little bit better. On a great note, it is somewhat raining here today. I wish it would rain all day, everyday. Well, not every day, but I wish it would rain more here. It has been really dry and my skin does NOT like it at all.

These past few weeks have been crazy and jam packed so I figured I would give you some updates on things that are going on. This past week was Holy Week, so we had to attend church on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Thursday and Friday's masses were each at least two hours long and didn't start until seven, so by the time that we were done, we were wiped out.

Saturday morning I went to my brother and my sister-in-law's to decorate eggs with my  nieces. I thought that process would take longer considering that we had three cartons of 18 eggs each. But with a four year old and an almost three year old, it takes about 20 minutes. They aren't as fascinated with how pretty they can be if you take time to decorate them. They just kept dropping eggs in the colors and were very satisfied with that, haha!

We had to go up to Aran's parents house on Saturday night for church, since that is where the church that we have been doing our classes through is at. One of my besties, Lacey came with us, so I was pretty excited. Now Saturday's mass which they call the Easter Vigil mass started at 9 pm and was three hours long. Yep, I said three hours! It was pretty cool though. It was the first one that I had ever been to and they start the mass in total darkness. Upon entering the church, they were passing out candles so as the mass started, each person's candle was lit and eventually the entire was church was lit by everyone's candles. It was pretty cool to see the light start in the back and come forward the way that it did.

Easter was pretty great too! We didn't have to go to church since we had gone the night before, so we were able to sleep in! Yay! And I did just that. I slept in until about 10, which is sleeping in for me. We woke up and decorated more eggs! Then we had an amazing brunch with this family. We had home made polish sausage, pierogies, a blueberry egg bake, Canadian bacon, eggs, grilled pineapple and a fruit salad. We also had strawberries and champagne with out brunch too. It was so delicious but I was so full by the time that we were done that I was ready for a nap.

We left Aran's parents house a little after noon and then we had to stop at my Uncles to pick some pictures up and then we headed home so that we could go to my brothers for Easter dinner. When we got to my brothers there were so many people there. I believe there were 16 in all. That is a lot, especially considering that six of them were kids. They were running around and screaming. It was madness I tell you! But we had another big meal there as well. There was ham and turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, tons of chips and dips, rolls, stuffing, you name it we probably had it. And again I felt so full after eating. I thought I was going to explode.

Luckily, Aran and I had bought my nieces the Just Dance Kids game for the Wii so Lacey and I decided to do a few of the songs so that we could work off some of the food that we just ate. It was pretty funny and I am not going to lie, some of those dance moves were super hard to do! We stuck around for a little bit longer after everyone else left and we did a couple more Easter egg hunts with my nieces. They are way too freaking smart for their own good. They were finding all of them and they kept asking us to hide them in harder places. Apparently we were making it way too easy for them, haha! Overall, it was a great day with great family and friends and amazing food!! I hope that everyone else had an amazing Easter as well!

Well today is Monday, which I am sure that most of you were aware of when that alarm clock went off this morning, I know I was, but that means some new things for me are about to start. I started the Bodybugg program today. So far it is going really well. I have it set for me to lose 30 lbs by  losing 1 lb a week. I don't want to lose too much weight before my wedding, or my wedding dress is going to be so big that we will have to get it altered and that cost $$$$. No thank you! So I am going to try and start by losing the 30 lbs and then maintaining that weight until the wedding. That would put me under 200 lbs, so I think it is a great way to start and not have to push myself so hard that I get stressed out. The only thing that I am worried about right now is that I feel like the amount of calories that I am supposed to consume each day is really high! It is set at 2450 calories a day, but I am supposed to burn 2950 calories a day, so I am not sure how this works yet. Has anyone else used it yet? Is that right? I hope it is.

Well, I guess this is enough babbling for one post. Again, I promise to try and post more. Thanks so much for everyone who has been reading, and I also want to say hello to my new followers. Thanks guys! Hope everyone has as good of a Monday as possible!

Wedding Dress!!

This post will be pretty short, but I just found out that my wedding dress should be here around the end of August! YAY! I am so excited! I also found out that they are now going to be custom making my cap sleeves at the place that I ordered my dress. We originally were just going to buy cap sleeves from another dress that had similar lace, but apparently the designer wouldn't allow us to do that, so the store called me today and told me that we could custom make them for the same price. I am so excited about this!

Now it is time to really get my butt in gear and lose some weight. I met with the personal trainer last night at the gym and was not really happy with what I found out about myself. Let's just say that I wanted to throw up when he told me what my body fat percentage was. And then almost threw up again when they told me how much it would cost for a personal trainer! I was seriously contemplating getting one until they told me the price. So, I guess that I am on my own for workouts. Oh, well! I have done it before. I know that I can do it again. I just have to keep telling myself that!

Well, I said I would keep it short, so I am. Hopefully within the next day or so I hope to have another friend dedication post done. I am just trying to find some pictures. Happy Thursday everyone!

Wee Bit of Me Wednesday

Wee Bit of Me Wednesday
with Leigh Ashley

{one} how often do you do laundry?
Haha! Not often enough. I have so many clothes that it is sometimes two or three weeks in between when I do laundry. By the time I actually do it, I have so much to do that it takes forever.

{two} what is your favorite type of cookie?
Tie between chocolate chip and white chocolate macademia

{three} what would you do with an extra $2000 per month?
I would put extra money towards our wedding and then I would finance a new car for me.

{four} what was/is your favorite subject in school?
I loved history. I loved learning about things that happened in the past. I was really good at math, but I didn't love it, haha!

{five} have you ever ridden in a hot air balloon?
No, but I would love to some day.

{six} what was your high school mascot?
We were the hornets. Buzzzzz!! Haha!

{seven} if you had the chance to go into space, would you?
No, probably not. The thought of it is just scary.

{eight} how often do you go dancing?
Never. I don't think that I have ever been. I'm kind of lame sometimes.

{nine} would you rather drive or fly?
Neither. I don't like driving because I worry too much about getting into an accident and I have only flewn a handful of times so it is still a little scary for me too.

{ten} have you ever been caught re-gifting?
No, I don't think that I have. Haha! I don't even know if I have ever re-gifted. I'm sure I have but I can't think of a time.

Remember, if you want to join in, make sure that you link up so that everyone else can see your answers! Happy Hump Day!

Losing Those That You Love

I was rummaging through some old pictures today looking for some old pictures for an upcoming post that I want to do and I came across a postcard that my Grandparents sent to me on April 16 of 1991 from Durango, CO, where they were living at the time and where I later went to school. At the time, I was only 3 years old. After reading it, I was bawling like a baby because it made me realize how much I miss them.

I keep finding myself reaching for the phone wanting to call my Grandma about something, only to realize that I no longer can. I keep wondering why it keeps getting harder with each passing day that they are gone. Shouldn't this be getting easier? Now I have lost three Grandparents in the last four years and with each one that passed, it hurt more and more and it still does. I don't want to feel this way, but it is so hard sometimes. I know that they don't want me to sit here and cry but it is hard not to. I was closer with my Grandparents than I am with some of my other family members.

I think the biggest thing that I am struggling with is the fact that they don't get to be at my wedding. I mean everyone wants to have the people that they love be there for big days such as this, and the fact that ever since I was little I have imagined this big day and they were always there celebrating it with me. Having to delete my Grandma from our guest list after she passed away killed me for days. It still does. I have been trying to think positively and I keep telling myself that they will be with all of us in spirit, but that doesn't make it any easier. I have been trying to make sure that I include small things in the wedding that will help me remind me that they are there. For instance my bouquet will have three small butterflies that symbolize them so that they will be right there with me through the entire wedding. I am also having a veil custom made for me from someone on Etsy and she is going to be putting three small lace butterflies on it so that I have another reminder of them when I see it.

I know that many of you have lost family and I am sure that I am not the only one that feels these things. I am sorry that this is sort of depressing, but I found myself sitting in my bed and crying hysterically and this was the only thing that I could think of to calm myself down. So here I am in my bed at midnight, pouring all of this out in hopes that it will help me to better understand and accept why things happen the way that they do.

Day 1 of Workouts

Yesterday was day 1 of working out at the gym. I am working out on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays at the gym and on Tuesdays and Thursdays I am walking with a friend. Well, the gym kicked my butt yesterday, for sure.

The gym that we signed up for allows for us to bring a guest every time that we work out. So of course, Lacey went with me and I am glad that she did because she helps push me when I don't want to do anymore. We started out by running a mile on the elypticals and then we moved to the rowing machines. I have to say that I have found my new favorite piece of workout equipment in the rowing machines. It is such a great workout and you are using more than just one part of your body. I will definitely be using those more often. We also did some things on the balance balls. We tried remembering some of the exercises that they had us doing in our torture workouts during cheer practice, so we tried a few of those and those hurt like no one's business.

We decided to move onto our abs after the torture exercise. We were trying to decide what ab exercises to do and Lacey suggested the Britney Spears Abs. I had never heard of these, but I figured that at one point Britney Spears had some killer abs so it must have done something for her. So we tried them and oh my freaking gosh did they hurt. Overall it has you doing 140 crunches by the time that you are done. Ouch! We decided that we were done after that though. We were definitely tired and were ready to head home. On our way out though Lacey spotted this pull up machine that she had been talking about earlier. She got on it to show us and then Aran tried it and then they had me try it. My arms are so short that I could barely reach the bars and once I did, I couldn't pull myself up. The machine is made to be able to help you do the pull ups, but for me being as short as I am, I couldn't even do it, haha! I hate being short sometimes.

Overall, it felt like a great workout and then I got out of bed this morning. I hurt all over the place. My arms hurt, my neck hurts, my legs hurt, my abs hurt, EVERYTHING hurts! I guess that is a good indicator that we actually got a good workout, but I hate being sore. I hate not being able to move very well. And sitting at a desk all day doesn't help with the soreness. Oh well, maybe my walk tonight will loosen me up a little.

If you guys have any suggestions for some great workout ideas, please leave them in the comment section below. I am always looking for new things to do. Hope everyone is have a great Tuesday so far.

Bleh! And some weekend fun!

The title describes it all right now, haha! That is exactly how I feel. It is so freaking hot in my office today that it has completely sucked all of the energy out of me, leaving me not wanting to do any of my work. But I still have enough energy to write this blog for you guys, haha! My priorities today are AWESOME!

This weekend once again was nothing but craziness. Friday night I went out with two of my best friends, Amber and Victoria and one of their friends. We went to Chili's where we had dinner and a pitcher of Mango Margarita's. Well, I only had one and a half because I am a light weight, haha but there were three of us splitting the pitcher so I think I drank my fair share. After dinner, we went to the movies to see "Arthur" which was a really cute movie. It was a great night out with amazing friends and it was much needed after my horrible day at work on Friday. Nothing went quite right on Friday and I will just leave it at that.

Saturday morning I got up and met Lacey, Amber, and Victoria at the place where I am buying my wedding dress so that we could go order my dress and they could try on a bridesmaid dress that we are looking at for them. Amber and Victoria brought their two little girls Madyson and Kloe, who are freaking adorable so while they tried on the bridesmaid dress, I played with the girls. Like I said we also went to order my dress so that is now taken care of. I was a very excited person when she told me what size we were going to be ordering for me. Are you guys ready for this, because I definitely was not expecting it. Are you ready? Are you sure? Are you positive? Okay, I'm just being ornery now, but they ordered me a 16!!!!! That is a size smaller than I normally wear in jeans and when I went to the amazingly craptastic David's Bridal they measured me as an 18 so I was doing a happy dance!

After ordering my dress and getting lunch and doing a few other things, Lacey and I went down to my parent's house to help my little sister get ready for her senior prom. I had received a text message earlier in the day from my sister asking me if I could make her hair into a bow and I didn't quite understand what she meant and thought that she was slightly crazy. Well, she showed me a picture when we got there and it looked kind of simple so we watched a video on how to do it and it was the easiest thing I have ever seen. The video was only 3 minutes long so I figured it couldn't be that difficult. Well, it took me a few tries, but I did finally get it to look exactly how she wanted. I was very proud of the result. I also did her friend McKenzie's hair and hers turned out really good too! I was so excited for them and they looked beautiful! My sister also ended up winning Prom Queen too! I was so excited for her!

Beautiful Girls!
Yesterday (Sunday), Lacey came over so that we could do her taxes! It took us a while but we figured them out. After that we decided to make a turkey pot pie with some leftovers of my families turkey dinner last weekend. I started by making our own pie crust, which didn't come out that well, but they worked. Then we put stuffing on the bottom, then turkey, then mixed vegetables and then we poured gravy over the entire thing and then covered the top with another pie crust. It was so delicious, even with the crust falling apart, haha!

I got kind of a bad call last night though. My four and half year old niece MaKenzi had to go to the ER yesterday because she split her chin open. My brother's family went bowling yesterday and she had picked up her bowling ball and went to step up onto the lane to throw it down and she tripped and smacked her chin on the bowling ball. A long time at the ER and 5 stitches later and she is doing okay now. I felt so bad when they called and told me, that I wanted to rush right down there, but it was already 10 so I decided not to. But from what I heard she was very brave and didn't even cry when they stitched her up, but I still feel bad for her.

Overall, it was a pretty good weekend. Very busy, but very productive at the same time. Today I start working out at the gym. We bought gym memberships last week so I intend on using it considering that I am paying for it so after work we are off to the gym. I have a feeling that I am going to be sore tomorrow. I already don't like the sound of it, but I need to get my butt into gear and get into shape. I promise I will try to write more this week because I know that I have been slacking.  I hope that everyone had a great weekend and I hope that your week started off on a good note.

And just for laughs, a silly picture of my sister before going to prom! She will probably kill me for posting it, but that is what sisters are for!

Hooray for Fridays!

Hello blog world! Today is Friday which makes me very excited. Tonight I am having a girls night out with a few of my best friends, Amber and Victoria who I have know since I was in middle school.  They have always been like sisters to me We are going to dinner at Chili's and then going to see the movie Arthur. I am pretty excited about this because it has been a crappy couple of days at work and a night out is much needed at this point.

Also on the agenda for this weekend is something that I think I am even more excited about. I am FINALLY going to go order my wedding dress. You can't see it, but I am currently dancing with joy! I am so excited that it is finally happening.

This weekend is also my little sisters Senior Prom. She is growing up way too much (tear)! I am going to go help her and her friend who I have know since she was like 3, get ready and do their hair. I'm glad that they have a lot of confidence in my hair styling abilities, because I am not sure how that will go, haha! I did my own hair for one Prom that I went to and it turned out really cute, so hopefully I can do the same for them.

I also have to help my other bestie, Lou with her taxes. We have kind of been putting them off, oops! But hopefully it doesn't take too long to do them. Something that a lot of you may not know is that upon graduating from college, I was actually looking for a tax position with a few accounting firms. I still want to do taxes and become a CPA. But until I can find a job that will put me into that position, I will continue doing what I am doing, which is still in the accounting field.

I hope that everyone has a great weekend! We are supposed to have really nice weather this weekend, so I am going to try and enjoy it as much as I can. Hope that you guys can do the same!

Fill In The Blank Friday

It is time for Fill In the Blank Friday over at the little things we do. If you want to join in, you can do so here.

Fill In The Blank Friday

  1. My favorite daily responsibility is feeding my cats, because they always love me when I am about to get them food, haha!

  1. My least favorite daily responsibility is doing the dishes, I hate doing the dishes.

  1. My favorite cuisine to eat when going out depends on the mood I am in, but I love burgers and I LOVE chicken wings.

  1. My favorite cuisine to prepare at home is stuffed green peppers. They are so yummy!

  1. Andy Warhol said that everyone is famous for 15 minutes. My claim to fame is when I was on the news in Middle School. They were doing a piece about how we were outgrowing our school.

  1. If I could have 3 wishes I would wish for my dream job as a tax accountant, a new car, and a lifetime of happiness with Aran.

  1. My biggest pet peeve is hard to decide on. I hate when people talk to me like I am a baby. I’m 23 years old people, talk to me like I am an adult please!

Huge Update

I have been horrible lately and just have not had the time to blog. Sorry guys! So this is going to be one huge post about some things that have been going on.

First off, I have an amazing friend of mine that I have know since the 5th grade, who has been like a sister to me that has been going through some really difficult things lately so I have been trying to help her as much as I can. I spent half of the day on Saturday with her and her family and then again yesterday I spent half of the day with her and her sister, while she took care of some things. She has a little girl who isn't even a year old yet, so I have been trying to support her in anyway that I can.

Second, my mom came into town this weekend. My mom works on the road so we don't see her much, but recently she has been in the state for work. Well her and my step dad received a phone call on  Friday saying that they had to leave for Seattle, WA for work on Tuesday (today), so they came into town for the weekend so that we could see them before they left. So while we were waiting for them to get here on Saturday, my fiance' and I took my nieces to see the movie "Hop". That was a lot of fun, but kind of tiring at the same time because it was the first time that we had taken my four year old and almost three year old nieces to anything like that. They had fun trying to sit still. Later on that day my mom finally got here and we just hung out and had Philly Cheese Steaks for dinner. Yum! We also went bowling later that night, and then spent a good portion of Sunday afternoon together when we had a very early Thanksgiving dinner. It was delicious. I missed my mom's stuffing so bad, haha!

Third, the bestie finally moved to town!!!!!!!! I am so excited that I could scream. So Sunday evening we went over to help her unload the truck. That didn't take too long thankfully. Then yesterday afternoon I went over again and we ran all over town trying to find this piece for her bed frames to work and then finally gave up and went back to rearrange some things. We got pretty far. The only room that wasn't completely unpacked was the living room.

Today has been pretty crazy so far too. I took yesterday off of work and so of course I had a million things piled up on my desk when I got back this morning. It took me most of the day, (until about ten minutes ago) to finish everything. Today has also been kind of frustrating too. I have recently been doing weight watchers to try and lose some weight. I have done it in the past and have been very successful with it. Well, it isn't working as well this time around. I have been doing it for four weeks now and have only managed to lose 3lbs. I had lost 5 but somehow gained 2 back within the last week. Because of this, I have been having a small emotional breakdown today. I am tired of always being a BIG girl and being looked at differently because of my size. It has been like this almost my entire life. In High School my dad used to be my biggest critic about my weight and I think that has a big part to do of why we don't get along very well. So today after feeling disgusted with myself, I have decided to try a different option.

Aran's parents both tried the Bodybugg system and didn't like it, but they still have the Bodybugg so they said that I could have one of them to try it out. My friend Veronica did it before her wedding and lost a lot of weight and she has recently started tracking her food again with it. I found people on eBay that sell the online subscription to track the calories and everything that you need to track, so I think I may just go that way because if you buy it through the actual website it is $80, which I don't have that kind of money right now. I am in the process of emailing people who have already bought a subscription through eBay to see if it really works and so far everybody that has responded has said nothing but positive things about it. So fingers crossed! Hopefully I can start doing this and start losing more weight.

Well, again sorry that it has been so long. I hope that everyone is having a great Tuesday!

Fill In The Blank Friday

It is is FINALLY Friday so that means it is time for Fill In the Blank Friday over at the little things we do. If you would like to join in on this Friday fun, don't forget to go over and link up.

  1. Something that makes me a great friend is that I give a lot to my friendships. I care so much about my friendships that I would do anything for any one of my friends. I also love doing little things for my friends just to show them that I care.
  1. I am tired almost everyday, an organizational freak, sometimes a perfectionist, and emotional wreck at times, and a TV junkie (especially reality TV).
  1. I am not a mean person (well only when I have to be), a snake or a spider person, picky about my food (I will pretty much try anything), and not good about expressing how I am feeling to others.
  1. If I had to describe myself in 3 words, they would be loving, fun, and outgoing.
  1. Something I’m really cheap about is jeans. I wear them out so fast that I don’t really see spending more than $30 on a pair of jeans.
  1. Something I’m willing to splurge on is something that makes me feel god about myself, like getting a pedicure or something that I feel we need in our apartment.
  1. I would trade my car for a car that is in better condition and runs better in a heartbeat.

Love me some American Idol

I think that I have said this before, but I am a TV junkie and especially reality TV. Well the real reality TV that isn't scripted. American Idol is by far one of my favorites and this season has been so great. So many people said that they wouldn't watch the show this season because Simon was gone and blah blah blah. Even though I loved Simon and was sad to see him go, I did want to continue watching the show. And I am glad that I did!

First, I love the combination of judges that they have this year. You never know what is going to come out of Steven's mouth and Jennifer definitely speaks her mind and I have always loved Randy even though he has kind of become the hard ass this season. I usually find myself agreeing with him though, haha!

Each year I usually have a few contestants that I just absolutely love. This year I have two favorites and funny enough they are two of the youngest contestants still in the show. Lauren Alaina and Scotty McCreery are absolutely amazing in my book. They are both more country than any other genre and I LOVE country music. They impress me more and more each week. This week they had to do a song by someone that was in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Scotty chose a song by Elvis. He rocked my socks! That is all that I can really say. And Lauren did Natural Women. Singing for this girl is like effortless and I don't feel that she has quite let go and  given everything that she possibly has, but when she does, I can't wait to hear it, because I have a feeling that it is going to blow people away.

All I know is that no matter the outcome of the show, if either of these two put out an album after the show, I will definitely be buying it. For those of my followers who love country music, I encourage you to check out a few of their performances. Hope everyone had a great hump day!

Wee Bit of Me Wednesday

It is Wednesday so it is time for a Wee Bit of Me Wednesday over at Leigh Ashley. If you want to join in, don't forget to go and link up on her page, which you can find here. Happy Wednesday!

{one} what is one food that, as an adult you love, but as a child you said you’d never touch?
vegetables in general, haha!

{two} did you go to college? if yes, what was your major?
I went to Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO and I majored in Accounting.

{three} what’s the most wild animal you’ve seen in real life (not counting the zoo)?
A mountain lion

{four} have you ever been to a fortune teller?
Nope, I have not.

{five} can you juggle?
I have tried, it was a pretty epic fail though!

{six} hardwood floors or carpet?
Both. Hardwood floors in every room except the bedrooms. I like carpet in Bedrooms.

{seven} is it called “soda” or “pop”?
Definitely soda.

{eight} what was your first car?
A 1992 Mazda MX-6. It was kind of a piece of crap.

{nine} what is the most decadent dessert you’ve ever eaten?
Tiramisu that Aran makes for me every now and then. It is delicious.

{ten} how often do you rearrange your furniture?
All the time, I get so bored with it being where it is that I am always looking to rearrange it. I love figuring out how to optimize my space in the best way possible. This usually results in me actually putting everything back where I originally had it.

A Trip Down Memory Lane Part Dos of the Saga

Today is part dos of the three day link up that Lou over at Guinn and Bare It is hosting. Todays trip down memory lane includes stories from High School and College.

Now High School for me pretty much sucked so I don't have a whole lot of memories to share but I think some of my  favorite memories from High School are when I won Prom Queen my senior year(never thought that would happen), my senior trip to Hawaii, being on the cheer squad, and of course the best one, Graduating from that hell hole that they call High School, haha! Can you tell that I hated High School? Maybe just a little?

Instead of writing a ton about my High School memories, I figured the pictures would sum it up better, haha! It's like a picture book, you don't have to read!

Now onto College. Now this time in my life was a completley different experience, but it was probably the most fun I have ever had. So many things happened when I was in college. Again I will sum this time up in pictures, and prepare yourself because there are a lot!

In college I met two of my best friends ever while cheerleading

I went camping with a few of my freshman buddies, it was a blast
I hung out with my friends while at home for my first summer and met the love of my life <3
I cheered a little bit more

I celebrated my 21st Birthday with some of my best friends and made great memories at the last Homecoming game
Lacey and I learned how to shoot guns and we carved some amazing pumpkins
Celebrated Lacey's birthday in Wayne's World fashion
Graduated from college along side a few of my best friends
And had two of the cutest additions to my family, my nieces. I can't even imagine my life without them.

I hope that you enjoyed my memories from High School and College. Dont' forget to join in on the fun and link your page up here.
