Friday Letters

Oh my gosh I am so excited that Friday is here! It has been a long and draining week and I am ready for some down time. With that being said, lets dive into some letters!

Dear Friday,
Thank you for finally arriving. Enough said!

Dear Work,
Could you please calm the eff down? I seriously don't know how to even keep up anymore other than staying late and coming in on the weekends and this girl is not about to do that too often. So if you could just chillax, I would appreciate it!

Dear Gym,
I get that everyone is trying to start their new year off right, but holy eff, I wish you weren't so busy! When I can't even get on a machine to do something, we have a problem. But I still love you!

Dear Zumba,
Thank you for kicking my ass every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. My ass really does appreciate it!

Dear Personal Trainer,
Thanks for kicking my ass as well. And also thank you for making me feel like a bad ass after learning how to do dead lifts. Pretty proud of that right there.

Dear New Socks,
You are so soft and comfy and I love you. Haha! Yes, I love my new socks that much. I am a weirdo, I know.

Dear Self,
So this happened this morning...

That's right. I am officially out of the 200's and I am so proud of myself for finally accomplishing this goal! I am nowhere near my end goal, but I am that much closer! I officially weigh less than what my license says! Boom!

Okay, that is all I have for you guys today. I am so happy that it is Friday. And I hope that you guys have a fantastic weekend! And Go Broncos!!!!

Weigh-In Wednesday

Happy Hump Day everyone! After a three week hiatus, it is time to get back on track with Weigh-In Wednesdays. Let's get to it.

Although I haven't been posting on Wednesdays, I have been keeping up with my healthy eating habits and exercising. And keeping up with that through the Holidays was not easy, but guess what? I did it! So I can no longer use the Holidays as an excuse for not eating healthy and staying on track because in reality, for me anyways, it really wasn't that difficult.

Let's get to the good stuff. I seriously have been working my ass off! I have been keeping up with going to the gym six days a week. Three of those days I do Zumba and the other three days I am doing weights and a little bit of cardio. And with each workout I can feel my body changing. I feel it getting stronger and leaner. And this is a change that I am absolutely loving.

Okay, let's look at my measurements.

Holy shiz!!! I didn't realize until I looked at this how much I had really lost. I mean I knew the number attached to the lbs, but inches wise, I didn't realize that I had lost so much in some areas. As you can see, I am down to 201.2. I have lost a total of 21 lbs since the beginning of November and a total of 31.4 lbs from when I was at my heaviest in the 230's.

I am so freaking close to getting into onederland and being out of the 200's! I am really wanting to get under that 200 lb mark by next week's WIW. I know I can do it! I just need to really push myself this week, especially since my body feels like it is stalling on the weight loss right now. But I am going to keep pushing through!

Something that I think has really helped me this time around, aside from the trainer, is the weight loss challenge that I am doing right now. My best friend Lou is a Beach Body Coach, so she decided to throw together a challenge group. Although we are all there to try and lose weight and win the cash prize at the end, I have really received a lot of extra support from the other girls in the group. And you wouldn't believe what that does to your self esteem and drive. It has been one of the best things for me. And even after the challenge is over, I know I can turn to any of these girls for support if I am having troubles getting motivated.

The only real goal I am setting for myself is to get under that 200 lb mark by next week. I am finally at a point where I feel comfortable with my gym routine and my eating, so I  just want to stay consistent with that. And of course, drinking more water is always a priority too. So I guess throw that in there as a goal as well.

That is all I have for you guys today. Thanks for stopping by and checking in on my progress. I hope that you are having a great week and that the rest of it goes by quickly!

2 Years! Say What?!

Two years ago today I married my best friend. I can't believe that it has been two years already. It feels like it was a few months ago.

This past year has just flown by. And although not much has changed in our lives, we have definitely grown closer as a couple. We have had our ups and our downs. We are nowhere near perfect. But we love each other and support each other and that is all that matters.

Happy Anniversary baby! I love you so much and I can't wait to celebrate even more anniversaries in the future.

Weekend Recap

Well hello there! Remember me? Yeah, I have been MIA quite a bit lately. I blame the Holidays. Everything was just so hectic, it made it hard to find time to blog. Or do anything for that matter. But, now that things are slowing down, I am ready to get back to blogging. So let's get right back into the swing of things with my recap of this past weekend.

Even though I only had to work two days last week, by the time Friday afternoon rolled around, I was completely drained and exhausted from work and needed the weekend in the worst way. After picking up the Husband from work, we headed to the gym. The gym has become my stress relief. I go there, put my head phones on, blast some great music, shut the world out and go to town on my workouts. It's one of the best feelings.

After working out for a few hours, we left the gym and grabbed some dinner from one of our fave places, Garbanzo. It was delicious as always. We spent the rest of our night at home just doing nothing. I think I even went to bed early that night. I was pretty tired after all.

Saturday morning I woke up and headed to the gym for Zumba. After Zumba I stayed at the gym for a bit longer and walked on the treadmill just to get some extra steps and cardio in. After I was done there, I went and got my eyebrows waxed and then headed home so that I could wait for my Brother and my Sis-In-Law to bring my little Niece Rylei over so that I could watch her for a few hours.

They showed up a little bit before 2 and then left for a few hours to go see a movie. Miss Rylei and I hung out and watched some TV, had some snacks and played out in the snow for a little bit. And I just have to add that I am the coolest Aunt ever since I gave Miss Rylei chocolate chips. At least she seemed to think so!

After their movie was over, my Brother and Sis-In-Law came and picked Rylei up. After they left we didn't really do much the rest of the night. We cooked dinner and watched TV. We were both pretty tired and just wanted to relax the rest of the night, so we just sat around watching TV.

Sunday we both slept in for a little bit, but I eventually couldn't sleep any longer and got up to get my day started. I ate some breakfast and then headed out to get my nails done. I rarely go pay to get my nails done, but every now and then I get a wild hair and want to go have someone else do them. And I have been working really hard at my weight loss, so I decided that I deserved it. The Hubby agreed and even offered it to be my anniversary gift, so I jumped on that. I went and got a pedicure and a full set of acrylics done.

I have to say that the best part of the pedicure is the massage chair and the leg massage that you receive. My legs have been super tight from working out so much, so it was very much needed and felt amazing. And I decided to support my favorite football team with my nail color. The guy that did them did a great job too!

After pampering myself for a little bit, I went and did our grocery shopping for the week and then headed home. I spent the rest of the evening doing ridiculous amounts of laundry and cleaning up our bedroom.

It was a great weekend with lots of relaxing. I hope there are many more relaxing weekends in my future because this one was much needed. How was your weekend? Did you do anything fun?

Christmas Recap

Hello everyone! I hope that you had an amazing Christmas with your friends and family! Mine was pretty great. Only a few things could have made it better. For instance, if my Mom could have made it home for Christmas. But it's okay that she didn't. I am sure we will see her soon. And if it would have snowed. I don't know what it is, but I am a sucker for a white Christmas. But really, it was a great day!

Christmas started for us on Christmas eve. My family came over to our house and we had dinner together. We made a ham, green beans with bacon, mashed potatoes and gravy and even had some delicious cinnamon apples with vanilla ice cream for dessert. It was deliciously yummy and everyone seemed to enjoy dinner.

After dinner, it was time to open presents. It was more about watching my Nieces rip into theirs, but we also opened a few gifts here and there. It was fun watching them open their stuff. They get so excited about all the stuff they get.

After all the presents had been opened and it looked like a bomb of wrapping paper, boxes and bows went off in our living room, everyone headed home. My Nieces needed to get home so that Santa could come, so after everyone left and after we cleaned everything up, we headed out to go look at Christmas lights for a little bit. We just drove around our neighborhood, but there were definitely some good ones.

Christmas morning we were up at about 8. We gave the kitties and the dog their stockings full of goodies. And they went to town on all of their new toys. They were in heaven. It was like having real kids on Christmas, haha!

While the animals were enjoying their new presents, we opened ours. I loved watching the Hubby open his gifts and see the excitement on his face. He had no clue what any of them were, so it was even more fun to watch. It was pretty much a Batman themed Christmas for him. That's all he wanted. As for me, I got some great things that I had really been wanting. My favorite gift of the whole day was my Wes Welker jersey!!

After opening our gifts, we got ready for the day and headed to church. In all honesty, Christmas Mass is always my favorite mass of the year. However, this year, it was the worst mass I have ever been too. The visiting Father made no sense at all in what he was saying and he must have been trying to break a record for the longest homily ever! It was awful and kind of disappointing.

After Church we headed home and picked up Louie and then headed up to see the Hubby's parents and to have dinner with them. Once we arrived at their place, we all opened presents together. His parents freaking rock and bought both of us some great gifts. We both got new fitbit wrist bands. Which I am absolutely loving!!

After all the gifts were opened, it was time for dinner. It was delicious of course. It always is! We had pork roast, fresh green beans, regular and sweet potatoe pierogie, and a delicious salad. And dessert was sooooo good too. We had homemade apple tarts with homemade froyo! Yummmmmm!!!!!

After dinner it was time to head home. Both the Hubby and I had to work the next morning, so we wanted to get home and get to bed.

It had been a great couple of days celebrating Christmas with our families. And I wouldn't trade it for anything. Did you guys have a great Christmas? What was your favorite part of it all?

Craptastic Weekend Recap

Yep. That's right. This weekend was craptastic. Why? Because instead of being able to get the last few things that I needed to get done before Christmas, my ass was laid up in bed or on the couch all weekend long.

It started last Wednesday in the afternoon. I started coughing. No big deal. It was just a little cough, or so I thought. By Thursday morning it was a full blown chest cold. The kind that hurt your chest so bad when you cough. But I sucked it up and headed to work. By the time the afternoon hit, I started getting chills and body aches, so I headed home so that I could get some rest and hopefully sleep it off. I was running a pretty high fever too and I got it to break, but I woke up Friday morning and still didn't feel good.

After I dropped the Husband off at work, I headed over to the Doctor's office. After what seemed like the longest wait of my life, they finally saw me and determined by listening to my cough and my chest that I had bronchitis. Okay, not a huge deal. I can take some meds, but I can still get stuff done. But oh no. It didn't stop there. They wanted to do an influenza test on me just to be sure.

The nurse comes in and sticks this little swab thingy up both of my nostrils. Which for the record, does not feel nice. She tells me to go ahead and wait out in the waiting room because the test will take about 15 minutes for the results to come back. After being in the waiting room for about three minutes, the nurse comes out and tells me that the test came back positive almost instantly.

It wasn't enough to just have bronchitis. No! I had to have the freaking flu on top of it. Which also meant that I was contagious. So that pretty much put a stop to any of my weekend plans. They sent me home with a prescription for some Tamiflu for me and for the Husband since he probably already had it. And they told me that I should stay home for at least 48 hours and that I would no longer be contagious after that. Great!

So I spent my weekend laying in bed or laying on the couch. I tried to get up and do a few things here and there, but every time I would, I would start to not feel good again. So after a while I quit fighting it. I accepted my fate for the weekend and embraced it. I watched every Christmas movie that we owned. And when I was done with those, I turned on Netflix and watched a few that I hadn't seen before.

Sunday afternoon I was able to get up and go out and do a few things since I wasn't contagious anymore. We did a little bit of our last minute shopping and then headed home. Nothing too special or for too long.

All in all this weekend was a bust. I had so many things that I needed to get done that didn't because of this stupid flu! But I have a couple more days to get everything finished, so hopefully I can get everything done in time. I hope that you guys had a better weekend! And Merry Christmas week everyone!
