Week One of Healthyness

Hello lovelies! I thought I would let you guys know how my diet/Biggest Loser thing is going so far. Today marks exactly one week since we started our Biggest Loser contest at work. So far things are going well. Everyone that has entered seems to be staying on track, which is fantastic!!


I won't give you guys numbers yet because I want to wait until Firm Friday for that, but I will let you know how things are going.

I didn't go to the gym as much as I would have liked to last week, but I did still work out. I have been using our Wii Fit and our Just Dance games for our Wii to get some workouts in. However, I do need to get my butt back in the gym this week. Hopefully I won't be as sore as I was last week after going to the gym, because that shiz hurt! No pain no gain though, right?

As far as the eating healthy goes, I am doing really well. I am making sure to weigh and measure everything, especially since we have a food scale now.(Thank you wedding guests!) I am trying to be better about eating every two and half hours like they recommend. And I am trying not to eat too late at night. And I have been drinking tons of water. I had two 32 oz. Nalgene bottles full of water yesterday. That is a lot for me and let's just say I was in the bathroom A LOT!!

Something else that I am doing really well with is figuring out what to eat when we go out to eat. We went to Panda Express this weekend and instead of getting the Orange Chicken and the Crab Rangoon Wontons(Love these! Hence why I am on a diet) I opted for the Mushroom Chicken and the Mixed Veggies. One serving of the Mushroom Chicken is only 180 calories! Thank goodness for healthy alternatives!!

I have also set a goal for myself this week. That goal is to cut out diet soda entirely. I drink way too much of that stuff, so I am challenging myself to get rid of it all together. This may be easier said than done. Yikes!

  1. Way to go Megan! I'm so proud. You should work on lowering your salt intake. You would be surprised how much salt is in foods you eat every day. And it helped me drop an extra 10 lbs in one week when I was using my bodybugg. I am excited for you. :)

  2. Great update. I am going to quit soda for this next week also...just to see if it changes the numbers on the scale more than this past week. So glad by the number of people who are signed up for this challenge with us and hope we all keep eachother motivated to be healthier. Good Luck! I love reading your blog.
