Hairy Situation

Hello lovelies!! I have kind of a hairy situation that I need some help/suggestions/advice on. And when I say hairy, I mean hairy!

You see, I have gotten to that point that I believe most of us women get to, when you just absolutely despise everything about how your hair looks and feels. That moment that you realize that you would rather just put your hair up in a pony tail everyday instead of dealing with trying to style it to look nice. That point when  you pin your bangs back because they are just too long to actually do what they are supposed to. I am at that point! And, I can't take it anymore!!

With that being said, I need some help. I want a change. I want something different. I want a different color, a different cut, a different style. I have a few requirements though. First of all, it has taken me a really long time to grow my hair back out since I chopped it off above my shoulders, so I would really like to keep it long. Also, I would like to keep my side sweeping bangs, but I just want them to be more dramatic. And, I want a different color, but blonde is not an option. I just don't think that I would look very good with blonde hair.

Here are some styles that I like for how I would like it cut.

I love the layers and the bangs. I must really like Carrie Underwood's
hair because a style of hers was the inspiration for my wedding
do as well, haha!

Love the layers, not the bangs so much though.

Love the layers, would just want more dramatic of a
side sweeping bang.

Now as far as color goes, I am thinking a more reddish brown. My hair is a pretty dark brown now, so I just want it to pop more.

I am thinking more of the reddish browns and not so much the red or black

I think this is a little too much red, but I still like it

What do you guys think? What color and cut should I get? I would love to hear what you guys think so that I can make a decision before my appointment on Saturday. Thanks guys!

  1. Here are my thoughts, as I've too been dealing with hair headaches. I love my long hair, but i do need something different and long thick layers i think are perfect for that, keeping the length, but adding a lot of body and dimension. As for bangs, they are so in style atm..and if you keep your side sweep choppy with some length it helps to keep them from looking flat. Now, I'm a color fanatic with my hair, and sadly have let it go for too long, but i used to be blonde all growing up, was born that way..so I'm more apt to go dark these days. Anything with deep reds, even purples are hot to me, and is what im gearin towards whenever i get in to do my hair. I say go with what feels comfortable to you and makes you happy. Hope this helps!

  2. I agree, long layers always help you feel like your long hair has new life! I think the first pic of Carrie Underwoord is a great style!! And definitely go for a reddish brown - you could even try a non-permanent color before you commit to try it out!

  4. I LOVE Ashley Simpson's hair color! that red is gorgeous. And, I totally know what you mean about never knowing what to do with your hair. Mine is ALWAYS up! I mean always. i would love to take the time to style it and make it look pretty, but that only ever lasts a week and then i'm back to the pony again!

Hope you're having a great week!

  6. Definitely consider that that you stated. Your favourite
reason seemed to be at the internet the easiest thing to be aware of.
I say to you, I certainly get annoyed at the same
time as people think about worries that they just do not recognise about.
You managed to hit the nail upon the top and also outlined out the entire thing without having side
effect , other folks can take a signal. Will probably be again to
    get more. Thank you
